MobHunting 8.6.0 is the first semantic release of the fork maintained by
Becerritoo. Rocologo remains credited as the original author.

Highlights

• Validated on Paper 1.21.11.
• Separates CMILib action-bar and boss-bar support from the optional CMI integration.
• Prevents an unrelated plugin named Herobrine from triggering the legacy Herobrine API integration.
• Preserves the maintained fork's compatibility and reliability fixes for BetterRevive, MyPet,
  InfernalMobs, Citizens, Towny, bounties and datastore shutdown.
• Reports CMI and CMILib independently in plugin metrics.

Requirements

• MyPet 4.0.4 is required only when compiling the optional MyPet integration.

CustomItemsLib and BagOfGold are maintained as related projects, but each project uses its own
semantic version. Their compatibility will be documented with every release.

Validation

• CMILib integration was exercised without CMI installed.
• Reward payments, deposits, withdrawals and item pickup were verified on Paper 1.21.11.

The plugin version is independent from the Minecraft version. Future Paper compatibility updates
will use patch, minor or major releases according to their effect on MobHunting's API and behavior.

MobHunting JL 8.5.7-rc2-JL.6 — Paper 1.21.11

Published consolidation of the JL.6 build already installed and validated on the server.
Active branch: release/paper-1.21.11. The server operator confirmed successful in-game
validation on Minecraft 1.21.11 on 2026-09-27.

Changes since the published JL.3 release

• Reflective InfernalMobs compatibility for renamed main classes (45b28d1d).
• MyPet 4.x integration, built against MyPet 4.0.4 (e624ba22).
• Bounty lookup by sponsor, target and world group; validate withdrawal before saving.
• Failed payments/refunds leave bounties open; fix expiry/removal and cancellation amounts.
• BetterRevive final-death attribution to the original downing attacker, including projectiles.
  Revival clears attribution; finishing blows do not replace the attacker; repeated processing is prevented.
• CustomItemsLib dependency updated to 1.1.0-JL.11.
• Nine bounty and thirteen BetterRevive regression tests.

The source consolidation is commit 0bdfca94; the release tag also includes documentation.
JL.5 and JL.6 were developed locally before this publication. This release does not create
retrospective tags for intermediate local builds.

Validation and artifact provenance

• mvn -o -B -ntp clean package: successful on 2026-09-27; 22 tests, zero failures/errors/skips.
• All 315 class files and all other archive entries match the installed JL.6 binary,
  except Maven's generated pom.properties timestamp. Archive entry sets are identical.
• The published asset is the exact installed binary, not the newly packaged ZIP.
• Asset: MobHunting-8.5.7-rc2-JL.6.jar.
• SHA-256: 1887c1e2643e67829adbaf580e0df922b46174464abe97f7859b132b0b5acd33.
• SHA256SUMS.txt accompanies the asset. Existing releases/assets are not replaced.
• Server startup logs on 2026-09-26 show Minecraft 1.21.11, MobHunting JL.6,
  MyPet 4.0.4 compatibility and the BetterRevive integration enabled.
• In-game validation was confirmed by the server operator; automated tests are a separate check.

Compatibility and build constraints

Runtime target: Paper 1.21.11. Other Minecraft versions are not validated by this release.
The inherited compile API remains Spigot 1.21.4 and api-version remains 1.21.
The build relies on the JL Maven dependency environment, including the custom parent and
CustomItemsLib 1.1.0-JL.11. MyPet is a local system dependency configurable with
-Dmypet.jar=/absolute/path/to/MyPet-4.0.4.jar; see the README.
Maven reports legacy dependency POM and overlapping manifest warnings, but the build succeeds.

BetterRevive attribution requires the original attacker online at final death and does not
persist across restart. No payment occurs on knockdown. No database migration is introduced.

Important warnings

• No automatic balance/database migration is provided between legacy/custom setups.
• For production safety, use a fresh DB baseline (or a controlled/manual migration plan).
• Validate in a smoke/staging server before deploying to production.

• JL branch contains additional commits on top of Rocologo/MobHunting for server-specific stability and compatibility needs.
