D2R Ultimate Seed Finder v1.5.2

This update expands the Seed Finder from 9 to 11 farming targets and adds the ability to analyze and rank seeds you already have.

What's New

Act IV – River of Flame Superchests

River of Flame has been added as a new farming target.

The Seed Finder now searches for layouts containing at least 3 detected River of Flame superchests and scores the route from the River of Flame waypoint.

If 4 suitable superchests are detected, the tool can account for the best 4-chest route as well.

Because 3-superchest River of Flame layouts are extremely rare, this feature is difficult to test extensively through normal seed scanning. Combining one of these rare RoF layouts with strong layouts across every other Act makes the resulting "dream seed" even rarer.

If you find a seed with 3 or 4 River of Flame superchests, please share the seed and let me know how the route performs in-game.

Act V – Nihlathak

Added a new farming target for:

Halls of Pain Waypoint → Halls of Vaught

This allows seeds to be ranked based on how convenient the route to Nihlathak is from the Halls of Pain waypoint.

Analyze Your Own Seeds

You can now paste your own offline map seeds directly into the application and have them evaluated.

Features include:

• Analyze a single seed or multiple seeds at once
• Uses the same 11 farming targets as the normal scanner
• Shows the seed's ranking against your current database
• Displays Dream Rating and route coverage
• Seeds that fail strict search requirements can still be ranked
• Missing or undesirable routes receive penalties instead of rejecting the entire seed

For example, a seed without the desired 2-camp Lower Kurast layout can still be analyzed and ranked — it will simply receive a weaker Lower Kurast score.

This makes the feature useful for comparing seeds you have already found yourself.

• Duriel / True Tomb
• Mephisto
• Lower Kurast

• Worldstone / Baal

Compatibility

Existing databases remain supported.

Older seeds that were scanned before the new River of Flame and Nihlathak targets were introduced can still be viewed. New scans use the expanded 11-target scoring system.

Legacy v0.6 CSV importing remains supported.

Testing

The new Nihlathak route has been tested successfully against generated seeds and verified in-game.

River of Flame superchest detection is implemented and passes the application's validation checks, but genuine 3-superchest layouts are rare enough that extensive real-world testing requires a very large number of scanned seeds.

If you find a particularly good River of Flame seed, please share it!

D2R Ultimate Seed Finder v1.4.1

Small hotfix release addressing repeated scans in the same app session.

Fixed

• Fixed an issue where a completed scan could leave the background worker process running.
• Fixed the resulting A scan is already running error when starting another scan without restarting the app.
• The Start Scan button now waits for the previous worker to fully exit before allowing another scan.

You can now run multiple scans back-to-back in the same session, for example:

• scan 100 seeds
• scan another 300 seeds
• scan another 100 seeds

without closing and reopening the app.

No scanner logic changes

This hotfix does not change:

• map generation
• waypoint detection
• route scoring
• ranking calculations
• seed validation
• database structure
• Lower Kurast filtering

Only the scan-worker lifecycle was corrected.

Installation

Download:

D2R-Ultimate-Seed-Finder-1.4.1-Portable.exe

and run it.

No installation, Node.js, npm, or external runtime is required.

Your existing seed database is stored separately in Windows application data, so updating from v1.4.0 to v1.4.1 does not intentionally erase your scan history.

for verifying the Portable EXE.

There is no installer and no external runtime to install.

Important scoring note

The scanner uses deterministic generated-map geometry and distance proxies to compare layouts.

Scores are intended for relative seed comparison and are not literal measured teleport/walking times.

For promising seeds, final in-game testing is recommended.

Verification

SHA256SUMS.txt contains the official SHA-256 fingerprint for the release EXE.

PowerShell example:

Tested
The v1.4 Portable EXE was tested from a fresh application-data state after Node.js was removed from the test system.
It launched successfully and completed a 100-seed scan using only the Portable EXE.
