New release v1.2

NOTE: This release requires updating both the firmware and the patch, two files!

This is a minor version with just a few fixes, but unfortunately it requires some steps. Please, follow them all and in order!

1) Remove the old configuration:

1. Turn on the unit
2. Connect the unit to your computer via USB
3. Visit https://www.rebeltech.org/patch-library/device, enabling MIDI if the page asks you so
4. In the gray block, click the button "Connect to Device"
5. When the unit is connected, open the "Resources" tab
6. Delete oneiroi.cfg, if present

2) Update the firmware:

1. Download the file Oniroi_firmware-v1.2.syx from the assets section down below
2. Visit https://pingdynasty.github.io/OwlWebControl/firmware.html, enabling MIDI if the page asks you so
3. Follow the instructions under the section "Flash Firmware"

3) Update the patch:

Just follow the instructions here, but using the attached file Oneiroi_patch-v1.2.syx found down below.

4) Calibration:

The calibration procedure is described here.

• Fixed 0v-1v V/Oct CV range (needs hw fix) ([0v - 1v] range don't acts as v/oct #37)

• Removed a bit of lag from oscillators pitch control and V/OCT input
• Tweaked the oscillators' levels (Beta 4 for v1.1 #17)
• Swapped biquad filters for SVF in DjFilter to save some CPU, especially when looper is recording
• Added fade in/out when starting/stopping recording to avoid clicks
• Smoothed echo's density (Echo ( delay ) Density knob mode as Repitch type instead of Jump of the rate. #9)
• Raised looper's start parameter resolution
• Added DC blocking filters at the beginning and at the end of the audio chain to reduce low end rumble
• A bit of gain to DjFilter's extremes
• Better fade when looper is triggered
• Fixed clicking of echo's density when synced
• Added compressors to echo and ambience
• Displaying patch version with LEDs
• Fixed ambience's reverse spacetime

• First release version.

But it isn't' clear where that section is. Did it not get linked, I have spent some time looking.
I think I am apparently not getting my device in boot loader mode when I use PIngD, and getting error messages.

With v1.2, the "Start" and "Length" knobs of the Looper stop working, after some uses of the random button... they won't even react to CV or the randomization.. they stay fixed at full length and whatever starting position (hard to tell by then). I was able to recreate this bug many times now and it doesn't matter what "amount of randomization" I use. It just seems to happen when I press the random button quickly a few times.

Hi! This is just for discussing the release, for reporting specific problems better to open an issue (BTW, there's already a ticket opened for this: #50).

Trying to update me DIY module for 2 days. Trying to do it from 1.0. If I understood correctly, I installed 1.1 (after a day of pain and stucking in boot mode). Right now, trying to upload 1.2 firmware (as described above), but only got these messages :"Reading file Oniroi_firmware-v1.2.syx.
Sending data 365422 byte.
How long will it last? oOr isthis is sign of a problem?

Just tried to switch algorithm to patch first - next firmware. And finally got the version updated. I don't know why it worked. Now https://www.rebeltech.org/patch-library/device/ is telling me that I got version 1_2_0. But the module lights up only 1 time RECORD button and 1 time RANDOM, but it's a sign that it is a 1.1 version installed. Just tired of how much I need to do to play with the module
