Staging Edge (public testers)
New
- The app is now Wrenspace, with new icons and installer artwork
- The Solo plan can be claimed for free, without entering payment details, whenever it is offered as a free tier
- The account page shows which plan you will land on if you cancel
- The account page and dock show a notice when a free plan you claimed stops being free, for example when a limited-time offer ends
- Checkout automatically applies the best discount you qualify for, whether that is an active sale price or your waitlist coupon
- Sub-agent workers that run out of usage on their model tell the spawning agent which model to switch to and how to recover, and you get a notification too
Improved
- Canceling a paid subscription moves your account onto the lowest free plan still on offer, when one is available, instead of cutting off access right away
- The shell command to open a dock is now
wrenspace(previouslywrenix), with matchingwrenspace-staging,wrenspace-dev, andwrenspace-localvariants for side-by-side installs - Account, sign-in, sync and API services now run on wrenspace.ai, and the previous addresses still work during the switch-over
- Per-project files are now kept in a .wrenspace folder, and the earlier .wrenix and .cohort folders are still read
- Model routing can follow a different policy per mode (Code, Agent, or Chat), including for sub-agent and agent-spawned terminals
- Plans on a percentage-off sale show the price you would actually pay, with the original price struck through
- Agent tool calls run with less overhead because safety-guard checks now run as a single combined check
Fixed
- Buying a Team plan with multiple seats could charge your card but fail to grant access
- Switching to a free plan through the billing portal no longer leaves you billed $0 while keeping your old plan's paid features
- An account's enabled features no longer stay out of date for up to a week after certain plan changes
- Updating one side-by-side install (staging, dev, or local) no longer force-closes your other installs on the same machine
- A background command that is running but making no progress is marked stalled instead of holding back a terminal's completion for up to 30 minutes, and deliberate waits like sleep or polling loops are never marked stalled
- Pasted content in a prompt no longer shows raw formatting tags in chat history, and a delivered message that quotes those tags is no longer marked "Sent, not confirmed"
- A message sent while the chat view covers a terminal is reliably detected as delivered instead of appearing unconfirmed
- After an aborted quit, prompt tracking stays connected, so an already-authorized action is no longer refused
- With strict model routing, built-in Explore and Plan sub-agents are re-routed to their configured model instead of being refused
- The "Re-login needed" mark on an agent account clears once fresh credentials are captured
- A staged chat attachment is no longer sent to a terminal that was repointed at a different machine, and editing an SSH endpoint clears attachments tied to the old machine
- Switching a workspace away and straight back no longer deletes attachments staged for a remote terminal
- Fixed a rare multi-second freeze on Windows when a watched project folder stopped being watched
- Dismissing a CLI update notice no longer risks a brief app freeze
- The Wrenspace logo no longer renders as a faint amber sliver in account emails on light backgrounds
- The waitlist rebrand announcement email now calls the product Wrenspace instead of Wrenix
