Lot's of (performance) things here ;)

  • First and most importantly, we now draw line by line instead of Pico-8 pixel per Pico-8 pixel; this means the game now only sends 256 syscalls to the Epsilon kernel instead of 16384. This change comes with a huge performance boost, uncapped the game can go up to 100fps or more on my N0115 when compared to the measly ~27-20fps from before (Thanks Yannis and Yaya.cout for the advice)

  • Second of all, we have a fancy frame limiter thanks to Yaya.Cout which means the game more or less runs at 30fps which is its target speed. Not consistently enough to make the in-game timer accurate but that's because of sleep time accuracy problems I can't solve better than he did.

Enjoy your new 200fps (uncapped) calculator game!
