First preview release of BerryWorks EDI Input for Apache Hop.

Requires Apache Hop 2.19.0 and Java 21 or later.

  • Reads X12 and EDIFACT messages into Hop pipeline rows, including model-based loop events.
  • Includes X12 850/004010 and EDIFACT ORDERS/D96A YAML models.
  • Ships the unchanged public EDIReader core parser and a reduced, obfuscated proprietary framework runtime.

Download hop-edi-plugin-0.1.0.zip and its .sha256 checksum. Stop Hop, remove any previous plugins/transforms/hop-edi-plugin/ installation (and legacy hop-transform-sample/ folder), then extract the ZIP into the Hop installation root and restart. Set Models directory to the absolute path of plugins/transforms/hop-edi-plugin/models/.

See the README for configuration, licenses, and limitations. This preview performs parsing, not full compliance validation. Explicit EDIFACT UNG/UNE groups, full UNB06/UNH04 values, repeated elements, and nested composites are not supported. TRADACOMS and HL7 are outside preview scope.

The preview is not listed in the default Marketplace catalog; the Marketplace repository definition will follow. Please report feedback through this repository's issue tracker.
