v5.4
Released as v5.4 (Oct 2026): labour and markets. One pull request into main (merging is the release). Plain-words report for Duke: dev/reports/v5-23-v54-release.md; the design note is dev/reports/v5-21-v54-design.md.
- Job loss and re-employment (
EMPL): Current Population Survey flows and spell lengths, unemployment insurance in both runs, a 10% pay cut on return, automation through job loss, 700 occupations. - PTH's balance sheet (
PTHB): homes, mortgage debt, members' and community equity, with an enforced yearly identity; equity growth capped at inflation + 2%; members leave at 6.2% a year. - PTF by sector (
PTFS): food and utilities at the Hub's epsilons, other sectors no cut (swept); members leave at 3.2% a year. - Risk measures (
RISK, reporting only): drawdown, recovery time, re-entry into poverty. - Figures (Reference, 20 years): adult-years below the cost of living 49.2% → 19.6% (−29.6; v5.3: −28.3); too little wealth +11.0 points (v5.3: +5.5), +0.8 at 40 years. Job loss changes the no-programme run too, so compare within a release. The cause of the larger 20-year wealth gap in Reference is not yet isolated.
