What's new

  • Agents learn before they write. list_skills, get_skill, list_files and read_file now report canWrite: whether the change can land directly on the default branch, judged by the rules committed there. false means a branch and a change request. (#393)
  • One-letter command shortcuts. C creates a new page, ⇧I opens Invite (admins), ⇧K goes to Knowledge and ⇧S to Skills & Tools; the G-then-K sequences are gone. A distribution's shortcut is one letter, with or without Shift. (#405)
  • Agents can delete branches. A delete_branch tool for a branch's author or an Admin, which first closes change requests that propose nothing; the server also removes branches left over from merged requests (on by default, off on the Deployment page). The app and an agent now share one lock per file on every branch. (#401)
  • Closing a tab gives the page back. Leaving the site while editing releases the hold at once, and a hold of your own elsewhere says so instead of naming you as someone else. (#412)
  • Connect your tools lives in Skills & Tools, with the same top bar and sidebar; the old /connect address redirects there with its query and fragment intact. (#403)
  • The chat view renews its own token. Tokens minted by open_page live five minutes, and the MCP Apps view renews one through its host when a call is refused. (#410)

For distributions

  • The embed carries the seams a distribution with a knowledge graph needs to retire its own copy: a node-id resolver port, viewerOf(token), the graph through the renderer surface, content-height reporting for a host that asks for it, and a standard, draggable height for an HTML page's frame on such a host. (#409)
  • The shutdown slot for the join-request jobs is pluginJoinRequestJobs (was backgroundJobs); rename it where you pass it, or the sweep no longer stops with the graph. (#423)

Fixes

  • A stopped knowledge base also stops its join-request sweep, which used to warn every minute against a closed database. (#423)
  • Change-request listings on a knowledge base with many open requests no longer take minutes: the access model at a commit is read in two git calls and cached for 512 commits. (#426)
  • A requester's card shows the database's stable sentence only for a database failure; a wrapped git failure keeps its own words.
  • The edit-hold notice never overwrites a lock event with an older lookup's answer.

Upgrading

Deploy with the previous version stopped before the new one starts. The Docker image is ghcr.io/bevel-software/hexis:0.29.0; the npm packages are @bevel-software/platform-*@0.29.0.
