Bey Wallet v0.2.0

From Lightning-only to a full-featured Bitcoin & Nostr Ecash Wallet.
This release brings on-chain Bitcoin transactions, highly optimized offline payments, dynamic username registrations, and a collection of premium privacy toggles.

On-Chain Bitcoin Support

Bey Wallet now supports native on-chain transactions:

  • Bitcoin Deposits: Receive satoshis directly via on-chain addresses. Balances are automatically credited to your secure ecash wallet.
  • Bitcoin Withdrawals: Pay to any on-chain Bitcoin address directly from your ecash holdings.
  • Auto-Quote Verification: An automated background checker monitors and resolves pending on-chain mint/melt quotes seamlessly.

Offline Payments, Reimagined

Sending ecash offline no longer requires an exact denomination match:

  • Offline Optimization Engine: A new subset sum algorithm automatically finds the best proof combinations for any requested amount (exact match, underpay, or overpay options).
  • NFC tap-to-pay: Enjoy seamless, local transactions even when you have no internet access.

Privacy & Display Controls

Customize your workspace for public usage:

  • Hide Balance: Long-press your wallet balance on the home screen to mask it. Long-press again to reveal.
  • Primary Currency Toggle: Configure display units to showcase either SATS or your local fiat currency globally.
  • ₿ Symbol Mode: Toggle standard SATS text formatting with the official Unicode ₿ symbol.

Encrypted Ecash Sharing via Nostr

  • Relay-Backed Shares: Publish encrypted ecash tokens to Nostr relays using NIP-44 v2 encryption and kind 30078 custom events. Tokens are discoverable and decryptable only by the designated recipient.
  • Addresses Normalization: Contacts, npubs, and profiles are auto-normalized on save and boot.

NIP-05 Usernames

  • Deterministic Identifier: Every wallet automatically derives a unique, human-friendly username from its Nostr public key (e.g. cozypandad202).
  • Free Username Registration: Register a free @bey.cash NIP-05 username signed directly by your Nostr credentials.
  • Permanent Dismissal: Prompt sheets and warning cards now support permanent dismissal if you choose to back them up or set them aside.

Performance & Optimization

  • SQLite tuned: SQLite now operates with WAL (Write-Ahead Logging) mode, an 8MB cache size, normal sync, and lazy-initialized database connections to speed up app cold-starts.
  • GC Churn Removal: Caching layers introduced for Intl.NumberFormat instances to prevent list scrolling stutters.
  • Optimize Wallet: A new consolidation dashboard merges fragmented small ecash proofs into larger denominations for faster future payments.
