Pocket-Pad turns your Android phone or tablet into a wireless Bluetooth game controller. Your Windows PC will detect it as a real gamepad. You don’t need to install any extra software on your computer. Just connect via Bluetooth and play games or control apps comfortably from your handheld device.
To use Pocket-Pad, make sure your setup meets these requirements:
- Windows 10 or later (Windows 11 recommended for best Bluetooth support)
- An Android device with Bluetooth 4.0 or higher
- Bluetooth support enabled on your PC
- Basic USB cable or Wi-Fi connection for initial setup (optional)
- A compatible game or app that works with standard game controllers
- Check your PC has Bluetooth enabled. To do this:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices
- Turn Bluetooth On
- Make sure your Android device supports Bluetooth HID (most modern devices do).
- Keep your Android handheld and PC close during setup for a stable connection.
- Charge or plug in your Android device to avoid interruptions during use.

Since Pocket-Pad runs on your Android device, you will need to install the APK:
- On your Android device, open Settings > Security and enable Install unknown apps for the app you will use to open the APK file (like Chrome or File Manager).
- Transfer the APK file from your PC to your Android device using USB cable or cloud service.
- Locate the APK on your Android device and tap it to install Pocket-Pad.
- Open the Pocket-Pad app on your Android device.
- The app will prompt you to enable Bluetooth HID features. Allow any necessary permissions.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to start broadcasting the controller signals.
- On your Windows PC, open Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
- Select your Android device from the list to pair. Choose Pair.
Once paired, Windows should detect the connection as a game controller automatically.
After pairing:
- Launch your favorite game or app that supports controllers.
- Your Android device should function like a standard gamepad.
- Use the buttons and sticks on Pocket-Pad’s interface to control gameplay.
The app sends signals over Bluetooth, so you don’t need to open anything on Windows to use it.
- If Windows does not detect Pocket-Pad as a controller, try to restart the Bluetooth on both devices.
- Make sure no other Bluetooth devices are interfering by temporarily disabling them.
- Keep devices within 10 meters to maintain signal strength.
- When the Android app asks for permissions, grant them fully to avoid connection issues.
- Reinstall the APK if you face consistent errors.
- If a game does not respond to Pocket-Pad, check if it supports standard controllers.
