The first public build of TokenGem.

Download: TokenGem-1.0.0-macOS.dmg below — 1.6 MB, universal (Apple Silicon & Intel), macOS 13+.

Install

  1. Open the DMG, drag TokenGem to Applications.
  2. First launch only: right-click the app → Open → Open (the binary is ad-hoc signed while notarization is pending).
  3. Node 20+ required (brew install node). The app will tell you if it can't find it.
  4. Click the menu-bar gem → Open Dashboard and follow the quick start. The baseline step is deliberate: it reads your real session history before anything changes, and it only runs once.

Highlights

  • One PreToolUse hook instead of three — per-command routing across pinned RTK v0.48.0, Ponytail v4.9.0 and Graphify v0.9.53, installed into an isolated ~/.tokengem/runtime/ prefix.
  • Baseline-then-measure: net cost per assistant turn against your own pre-install numbers, output-token inflation watch included, net-negative never softened.
  • Seven agents routed or metered — Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Copilot, Gemini CLI, Qwen Code — plus proxy mode for direct-API apps.
  • Local-first: the dashboard binds to 127.0.0.1, the license verifies offline, and tokengem uninstall restores your settings byte for byte.
