v1.2.8 Performance Optimization and Assignment Messaging

@RocketRoooiz RocketRoooiz released this 09 Oct 07:22
b5e9c3c

v1.2.8 Changes

New Features

  • Doctor assignment messages: when someone assigns a doctor to a SOAP note, prescription, medical certificate, laboratory request or physical examination, the doctor gets a message with a button that brings them to that request. No message is sent when doctors assign themselves.
  • POS tutorials: the POS page now has its own tutorials for making a sale, products, transactions and refunds, analytics and settings. Each person only sees the tutorials for what their role allows.

Improvements

  • Faster startup: the app opens faster. Each screen now loads the first time you open it, with a short placeholder outline while it loads.
  • Fewer blank screens: if a screen fails to load, the app reloads itself once instead of showing a blank window.
  • Faster saving: saving documents is much quicker, especially on slow internet. On a slow connection, Save Draft now takes ~1 second instead of ~12.
  • LIS test results:
    • Printed results now look exactly the same as printouts from the LIS.
    • Results you opened recently open faster.
    • Opening another result stops the one still loading, so you don't have to wait for it.
  • Patient search: results show up faster, and more load as you scroll down the list.
  • System Logs: refund entries now show the products refunded, the refund status and the amount left, with clearer descriptions.
  • Tutorials: step numbers stay correct when a step is skipped, and the patient search tutorial now mentions scrolling to load more results.

v1.2.7 POS Refunds

@abigailseperidad abigailseperidad released this 05 Oct 15:17

POS transaction history now supports item refunds, including partial quantities. For example, refunding one of two units paid at ₱80 each records an ₱80 refund and reduces revenue on the refund date. The final confirmation requires an explicit Yes/No choice about reversing the original cost of goods.

  • Add Refund items to transaction details, in the order Close → Refund items → Print receipt. Select purchased items and quantities; previously refunded units cannot be refunded again.
  • Show partial/full refund status, total refunded, remaining paid amount, and every refund's date/time, items, quantities, amount, and cost decision. History rows show the latest refund date when multiple refunds exist.
  • Deduct refunds on their own dates across revenue, profit, trends, payment methods, product sales, customer spending, comparisons, and Excel exports. Order and sold-unit counts continue to describe original sales.
  • Add a revenue-card tooltip showing gross sales, discounts, refunds, and net revenue. Add refund columns to transaction exports and a dated Refunds worksheet to analytics exports.
  • Preserve original receipt amounts and leave inventory unchanged. Only accounts with the existing POS sell permission can confirm refunds; analytics-only users can view them.
  • Persist append-only refunds with saved prices/costs, audit logging, an atomic version check, and retry-safe request IDs. Repeated requests and concurrent submissions cannot refund the same units twice.
  • Color-code refund status in transaction history and refund details: "Partially refunded" in yellow, "Fully refunded" in red.
  • Paginate the Product Sales and Sales by Customer tables in analytics, replacing the scroll-and-expand view. Each table defaults to 5 rows per page, has its own adjustable rows-per-page setting, and returns to page 1 when the date range, sort, or page size changes. Rank badges still reflect overall standing across all pages, and Excel exports still include every row.

v1.2.6 POS Printing & Message Improvements

BioLink HIMS v1.2.6

POS receipt printing

80 mm receipts no longer print cut off. On some 80 mm printers,
receipts came out enlarged with both edges cut off. Receipts now print
at the correct size on both 58 mm and 80 mm paper.

The manufacturer's driver is no longer required. Receipts can now
print on a thermal printer that uses Windows' built-in
Generic / Text Only driver. The printer only needs to be added in
Windows.

New setting: Print method (POS Settings → This computer, desktop app only)

  • Direct (ESC/POS): the default. Use it for thermal receipt
printers that use a paper roll, such as Epson TM series, Xprinter,
    Rongta and GOOJPRT.
  • Printer driver: use it for printers that take A4 or letter
sheets (inkjet, laser or dot-matrix, such as Epson EcoTank or HP).
It needs the printer's own driver installed. These receipts print as
a narrow strip on a full sheet.

After updating: open POS Settings and click Print a test
receipt
on each POS computer. If the test receipt comes out as random
characters or blank paper, switch that computer to Printer driver.

Messages

Click a message to mark it as read. Unread messages have a red
dot. A message is marked as read only when you click it, so opening
Messages doesn't mark everything as read.

Go straight to the patient from a message. Messages about a
patient now have a button that takes you to the patient's profile:

  • Open patient: on LIS document requests.
  • Review patient: on patient deletion requests, so an Admin can
    approve or restore.
  • Open : on document edit approvals. Opens the patient's
    profile with that document selected.

Clicking the button also marks the message as read.

The unread message banner now stays up until you read your
messages.
Before, opening Messages hid the banner even if you hadn't
read anything, while the red badge on the envelope button stayed. Now
the banner and the badge match:

  • The banner stays up while you have unread messages, including while
    Messages is open.
  • The count goes down as you read messages, and the banner goes away
    once they're all read.
  • Click × to hide the banner; it comes back when a new message
    arrives.

v1.2.5 Changes

New Features

POS & Inventory (off by default, unless availed)

  • New "POS & Inventory" button on the home screen with four tabs: POS, Products, Analytics and Transaction History. Each branch keeps its own products, sales and settings.
  • POS: search or filter products, pick a patient or type a walk-in name, then adjust product quantity to be bought, afterwards, choose the discount and payment method in the order panel. Low and out-of-stock items are highlighted.
  • Discounts:
    • Senior Citizen and PWD are fixed at 20%. Patients with an ID on record will get their ID auto-filled in (if the discount is clicked).
    • Admins can also create custom discounts, and there is also a Custom Discount Amount option.
    • Discounts only apply to products marked as discountable.
  • Payment: Cash asks for the amount tendered and shows the change. Other methods are recorded as declared, with an optional reference number.
  • Receipts print directly to a roll printer. Each branch can set its own receipt header and footer.
  • Products: add, edit and restock products, view stock history, and group them into colour-coded categories.
  • Analytics: sales, profit and best sellers for any date range, with comparisons to the previous period and Excel export.
  • Transaction History: search and filter past sales, view details, reprint receipts and export to Excel.
  • Access Control: new permissions for making sales, managing products and viewing analytics (all-time or today only).

Improvements

  • Prescriptions:
    • Medicine name and dosage are now one "Medication" field (e.g. "Paracetamol 500 mg"). Existing prescriptions are updated automatically, and printouts look the same.
    • When POS & Inventory is on, medicine names are suggested from the inventory as you type.
  • System Logs: clearer descriptions for POS actions, plus filters for POS records.
  • SOAP notes: who can create a SOAP note is now set only in Access Control.

v1.2.4 Doctor Specialization, PHEX LabReq Findings Field

Choose a tag to compare

@RocketRoooiz RocketRoooiz released this 26 Sep 14:04
b5e9c3c

1.2.4 Changes

New Features

Physical exam: findings free-text

  • Added a free-text field when "Findings" is ticked in the Laboratory Request Section
  • Chest X-ray options relabeled to "Normal"/"Findings"
  • Shortened "Chest, Breasts, Axillae" → "Chest/Breast/Axilla" so it no longer wraps to two rows

Doctor specialization

  • Added a free-text "Specialization" field for Doctor/Admin accounts (e.g. "Internal Medicine"), settable at account creation and in the doctor's own profile
  • Now prints on every clinical document's signature block, between name and license number

Physical exam print layout

  • Tightened the examinee and doctor signature areas so a fully filled-out exam (digital signature + license + specialization + PTR) fits back on one printed page instead of spilling to two

v1.2.3 Custom Lab Request, Access Controls

Choose a tag to compare

@RocketRoooiz RocketRoooiz released this 25 Sep 15:16
b5e9c3c

v1.2.3 Changes

New Features

  • Custom lab request templates. Admin Settings → Lab Request Template lets each branch design its own laboratory request form from the test and promo list, with section headings, sub-entries, write-in lines and blank lines.
  • Draft and finalization for prescriptions, medical certificates and lab requests. Like SOAP notes and physical exams, these now autosave as drafts, can be deleted and restored, and are finalized by the doctor. Finalized documents are never deleted, and edits keep the earlier versions.
  • Access control. Admin Settings → Access Control lets admins decide what each role can do, add or edit patients, request patient deletion, and add, edit or finalize each document type. Built-in roles (Admin, Doctor, Staffer) can have their permissions changed, and custom roles can be created with any mix of permissions.
  • Approval for finalized edits. If anyone other than the assigned doctor edits a finalized document, the change is held for that doctor to approve or reject.

Improvements

  • Added full-size document previews with zoom and drag.
  • Medication autofill on prescriptions.
  • Clearer and more detailed System Logs.
  • Manage Accounts → Reassign now covers both branch and role changes, each logged separately.
  • Tutorials updated for the new rules, plus new Edit Patient and Delete Patient tutorials.
