The first public release of shieldedscan, a privacy-first Zcash block explorer, running at shieldedscan.xyz and testnet.shieldedscan.xyz.
What it does
- Shielded activity as first-class data: the four shielded pools, flows into and out of them, pool-to-pool migrations, and the Ironwood turnstile, all measured from a full-chain index.
- Blocks, transactions and addresses: a shielded value is never shown as zero or as an empty cell; it is shown as encrypted.
- Cross-chain flows through public swap protocols (NEAR Intents, Maya, THORChain).
- Network analytics: supply, fees, mining, halving, the reorg log and a live P2P node map.
- A keyless public API (
/v1) with an MCP server, documented at /api-docs. - Zeno, an assistant that answers questions from the explorer's own data.
Built with
Next.js and TypeScript (strict), hand-rolled SVG charts, a Hono API over Postgres and a Zcash archive node. See the README for running it, and docs/self-hosting.md for the full stack.
