OpenCode Model Control 0.4.0 separates configured connection access, billing evidence, public API prices, and recorded usage.

  • Use eligible subscription and API connections under configured Paid policy even when public prices are unavailable. Free still requires verified zero pricing; existing Paid installs retain verified-price behavior until you adopt configured Paid access.
  • Declare connection billing with clear provenance, bind role selections to the exact connection, and keep unsaved edits through refresh and conflicts.
  • Support OpenCode provider-owned authentication transports without silently falling back between subscription and API connections. Changed endpoints, SDK mappings, revoked access, and missing pinned models stop dispatch.
  • Keep captured usage under its original billing label, binding, and currency. Missing cost, quota, or token semantics remain unreported. Accounting work and retention are bounded.
  • Upgrade from 0.3.0 with private exact backups while preserving disabled models, requested pins, automatic inclusion, and policy.

After installing, use Update connection and restart OpenCode once for managed integration surface 3. Subsequent role changes among already-loaded models apply live.

Opaque host-managed transports and unreported credential changes cannot be independently verified. Synthetic tests do not prove a real account's entitlement or invoice. Captured usage is partial and is not added to aggregate OpenCode costs.

The attached tarball, checksum, and evidence identify the tested release bytes. Final CI run 34688784337 passed source verification and all four Linux/macOS × Node 22.12.0/24.x combinations. Each installed-package run exercised OpenCode 1.18.22 and 1.18.28 (20 scenarios and 57 loopback requests each), 14 browser scenarios, upgrades, and recovery. Real-provider inference requests: zero.

Install: npm install --global opencode-model-control@0.4.0.

Public npm verification on 2026-09-12: the credential-free registry download matches the final SHA-256 and registry SHA-512/SHA-1 integrity. A fresh version-pinned npm install matches all 83 package files. The downloaded artifact passed installed-package acceptance on Linux / Node 24.14.0, including both host versions, all 14 browser scenarios, upgrades, and recovery, with zero real-provider inference requests.
