OpenCode Model Control 0.4.1 fixes four routing and usage bugs and updates dependencies within their existing major versions.
- Zero token rates on plan-specific provider slots no longer allow Free routing. The check also covers old saved catalogs, cached public metadata, and legacy panel data. Configured Paid access still works when an API estimate is unavailable.
- Beta and enabled alpha models listed by OpenCode stay available.
- An incomplete model refresh keeps omitted routes, unchanged billing declarations, and saved role bindings. A freshly observed endpoint change still invalidates the binding.
- Usage accepts nested and regional model IDs containing
@and~.
Install or update:
npm install --global opencode-model-control@0.4.1
opencode-model-controlStop the old panel before updating. In the reopened panel, click Update available models, review Free/Paid, and Save changes. Click Update connection (or Connect to OpenCode if disconnected), then restart OpenCode to load the updated plugin.
No settings schema or managed integration surface change is required. Existing selections and disabled models are preserved. Model Control does not infer account billing, entitlement, authentication, or quota from provider names.
Verified artifact
Final CI run 36647447813 passed all seven jobs. Each of the four Linux/macOS and Node 22.12.0/24.x combinations tested these exact bytes: 18 package checks, both OpenCode hosts (20 scenarios and 57 synthetic loopback requests per host), and all 14 production browser scenarios. Deliberately damaged plugin and UI artifacts were rejected. Real-provider inference requests: zero.

Public npm verification
The public npm 0.4.1 download matched the final SHA-256 and registry SHA-512 integrity. A clean version-pinned npm install reported CLI 0.4.1 and matched all 84 package files. The downloaded package passed all 18 package checks, both OpenCode hosts (20 scenarios and 57 synthetic loopback requests each), and all 14 production browser scenarios on Linux x64 / Node 24.21.0, with zero failures, skips, or flakes and zero real-provider inference. The attached npm-public-verification.zip records the public download, clean install, and redacted acceptance evidence.
