v4.55

@Bl4ut0 Bl4ut0 released this 13 Oct 18:38

ItemRack Universal v4.55

This stable release consolidates the tested beta changes for this version.

Changes

Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Forever breakout comparisons (Venruki): Added an account-wide, default-on Always compare breakout items option so ItemRack flyout rows show the equipped-item comparison on Forever without requiring the client's comparison modifier. The option is scoped to ItemRack breakout rows and does not rewrite WoW's account CVar; disabling it restores native client behavior. Existing Menu on Shift suppression remains intact, and clients missing the comparison helper fail safely. Added the reported production-Lua regression and documented live acceptance checks.

@Bl4ut0 Bl4ut0 released this 11 Oct 06:31

ItemRack Universal v4.54

This stable release consolidates the tested beta changes for this version.

Changes

Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Forever character-slot hover dispatch: Explicitly register ItemRack's character-slot OnEnter wrapper when a frame remains bound to Blizzard's captured original handler. A live Forever dump showed the Hands slot compared false to ItemRack's replacement global and true to the captured native function, so the prior direct global assignment did not affect real slot hovers even though tests called the wrapper directly. Registration is idempotent and preserves exactly one native-handler call. Extended the production-Lua tooltip regression from the reported frame binding and added an initialization guard. The reporter confirmed the installed Dev build resolved the observed right-to-left tooltip hop after reload.

  • Pending icons for secure full-set hotkeys (GitHub #30): When a combat-capable saved-set key equips weapons immediately and retains the rest of the set for combat exit, the still-unmet items now appear on both character-sheet slots and quick-access buttons. Observed secure weapon completions clear only their own projected icons; deferred armor remains visible until the set request is consumed. Pending-item tooltips use the same target, and the projection never duplicates execution work into CombatQueue. Added the reported production-Lua regression and lifecycle checks; the reporter confirmed all five 4.54-beta2 in-client acceptance checks.

  • Clear combat-hotkey setting: Renamed the ambiguous "Swap set weapons during combat" option to "Full-set hotkeys swap weapons in combat." Its tooltip now explains that only saved-set keys assigned through Sets > Bind Key use the secure combat path; flyout clicks, /itemrack equip macros, events, and queues continue to defer. GitHub #30's reporter confirmed that 4.54-beta1 correctly queues slots 16-18 and equips them after combat without Lua errors.

  • Automatic CurseForge betas: Published GitHub prereleases now enter the same verified-ZIP deployment workflow as stable releases. Exact beta tags select CurseForge Beta classification; stable tags remain Release. Both include all supported Era/TBC/Forever game-version IDs. Preserve provenance checks, upload reservations and no automatic POST retries. Added failing-before/passing-after automatic-beta trigger coverage and real tagged-beta metadata/upload regressions; live next-release submission remains acceptance.

  • Documentation and agent guidance cleanup: Consolidated shared Codex and Antigravity instructions in root AGENTS.md, moved maintained references under docs/, archived the completed v4.24-v4.45 audit snapshot, and migrated release/local-build workflows to .agents/workflows/. Removed obsolete .rules, .gemini/rules.md, and dead-end scratch guidance. Updated packaging exclusions, links, and permanent path regressions; accepted release tags remain unchanged.

  • Packaged Universal guide and complete settings reference: Replaced the 2.2-era ItemRack/readme.txt shipped inside every archive with a self-contained guide to supported clients, both addon folders, current controls, exact-item sets, global/per-set queues, custom icon search, stop-marker recovery, deferred and secure combat weapon paths, ordered event ownership, script approval, diagnostics, and support data. Added detailed scope, fresh-profile defaults, dependencies, interactions, ranges, destructive effects, and explanations for every main option plus Set, Queue, Event, keybinding, reset, SoD rune, and LibSoundIndex control. Removed obsolete future plans and the old non-overlapping-set restriction. Added failing-before/passing-after packaged-readme-current-guide and packaged-readme-settings-catalog regressions.

  • Combat weapon deferral (GitHub #30): Ordinary set/menu and queued weapon, shield/off-hand and relic requests now remain queued during combat instead of attempting protected Lua pickups and losing the weapon requests. Secure weapon-hotkey macros remain unchanged; unfinished items reconcile after combat. Permanent production-Lua regressions use the reported item identities, both combat-weapons toggle states and manual slot queues, checking final equipment and cleanup. Live TBC protected-action acceptance is pending.

  • Character tooltip anchoring: Disable native side anchoring while applying scoped character-slot/flyout tooltip positions, preserving tooltip ownership and contents. Tighten context checks and clear stale flyout-row offsets. Permanent regression fails before the fix and passes modeled refresh/cleanup checks afterward; the reporter confirmed the final in-client behavior after the character-slot dispatch correction above, while broader client and taint checks remain acceptance.

  • Forever set tooltip compatibility: Register item tooltip post-processing on modern clients and retain legacy setter hooks on Classic. Resolve full item links to preserve saved enchant/gem/rune distinctions, respect tooltip settings, and ignore unavailable or secret links. Permanent production-Lua registration/display regressions cover both paths; live Forever rendering remains acceptance.

  • Icon proportions and breakout spacing: Removed the added texture crop while keeping 36px button bounds. Main, breakout and inventory/set selector artwork now uses the full texture; breakout cooldowns align with the artwork. Added independent Breakout spacing (0–24, default 4), with wrapping and frame sizing using that spacing and effective menu scale. Existing main/menu scale defaults are unchanged. Permanent geometry and production menu-renderer regressions cover the reported inconsistency; live trim/action-bar comparison remains acceptance.

4.54-beta2

  • Pending icons for secure full-set hotkeys (GitHub #30): When a combat-capable saved-set key equips weapons immediately and retains the rest of the set for combat exit, the still-unmet items now appear on both character-sheet slots and quick-access buttons. ItemRack Universal v4.53-beta1

Beta test build: please report Lua errors, incorrect swaps, or regressions with /itemrack dump output.

Changes

Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Weapon Pipeline Source Dependencies (GitHub #29): Dependent set moves now confirm earlier moves and resolve displaced sources again instead of reusing stale equipment locations. Equipment-origin moves retain explicit source identity checks. Off-hand-only and main-hand-only displaced items are parked safely when required, implicit source slots retain restoration history, and completed sets release reservations. Added production-Lua coverage for the reported shield transition and the synthetic follow-up, full bags, legal paired weapons, partial restricted-slot moves, no-space refusal, later-pass rollback, queue context and unequip restoration. Live Classic Era protected-action and timing acceptance remains required.
  • Combat Weapon Set Bindings: Restored secure weapon-only combat hotkeys and added the default-off "Swap set weapons during combat" setting for full-set hotkeys. Remaining gear and rejected or wrong-copy weapons reconcile after combat. Combat presses equip rather than toggle; rune-specific and empty-slot weapons remain deferred.
  • Forever API Compatibility: Read private icon lists without initializing Blizzard's shared icon provider, tolerate missing or failing icon APIs, and fall back safely when floating combat text is unavailable.
  • Forever Binding Save at Login (PR #28, msromike): Defer SaveBindings when the client reports binding set 0 and save once a valid account or character binding set becomes available.
  • Minimap Flyout Direction (PR #26, msromike): Added Auto, Up, Down, Left, and Right choices. Auto preserves existing behavior; fixed directions support relocated minimap buttons. Third-party menu layering remains the collector addon's responsibility.
  • Includes Unpublished Candidate Fixes: Includes item-link normalization and minimap set auto-detection, queue-aware and paired-slot set matching, and immediate suppression of disabled character-sheet swap menus. Candidates 4.51 and 4.52 were not published; this beta includes their changes relative to published 4.50.

v4.50

@Bl4ut0 Bl4ut0 released this 25 Sep 07:32

ItemRack Anniversary v4.50

This stable release consolidates the tested beta changes for this version.

Changes

Bug Fixes & Improvements

Documentation

  • New README and CurseForge Project Page: Replaced the accumulated TBC-era documentation with a concise universal README and a new primary CurseForge description covering supported clients, installation, features, script-event protection, diagnostics, and support requirements. Beta and primary remain publication safety channels rather than separate client builds.
  • One Universal Package: Release tooling now produces one ItemRack-universal archive for Classic Era, Anniversary/TBC, and Forever/Camelot. Both TOCs advertise the supported official and Forever interface builds, and local deployment discovers the Forever _classic_beta_ client alongside the official Classic folders.
  • Forever/Camelot Runtime Compatibility: Ported guarded modern API fallbacks for item families, equippable/equipped checks, talent/spec names, removed mouseover APIs, movement secret values, optional tooltip/use-item hooks, and Equipment Manager coexistence into the shared codebase.
  • Set Icon Picker Blank Entries: Uncached item textures and unsupported equipment slots now use a visible question-mark fallback instead of inserting nil holes into the set-icon array. The picker refreshes when item data arrives, ignores invalid spell/macro icons, and repairs legacy sets whose saved icon is missing.

v4.48

Choose a tag to compare

@Bl4ut0 Bl4ut0 released this 19 Sep 17:04

ItemRack Anniversary v4.48

This stable release consolidates the tested beta changes for this version.

Changes

Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Ghost Wolf and Stance Resolution: Numeric stance events no longer require a populated shapeshift bar, fixing Ghost Wolf on clients reporting form 1 with zero bar forms. Named forms now support both legacy name returns and modern spell-ID returns; packaged Druid forms use stable spell IDs to work independently of client language. Added the sanitized live-report reproduction and shared Ghost Wolf/Mounted restoration checks to the standard test gate.
  • Exact-Copy Reservations During Set Execution: Swap execution now preserves exact-copy priority after preflight, preventing an earlier compatible substitute from consuming the copy saved for a later slot. Added observed multi-slot transaction regressions, including an already-equipped exact copy.

v4.47

Choose a tag to compare

@Bl4ut0 Bl4ut0 released this 17 Sep 04:05

ItemRack Anniversary v4.47

This stable release consolidates the tested beta changes for this version.

Changes

Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Mounted Set/Queue Restoration (CurseForge: baniro_): Event frames now retain the manually equipped base-set identity while temporary movement or mount sets are active. Stopping on a mount restores both the physical items and the prior set's per-set queue context instead of falling back to Custom.
  • Partial Sets With Missing Items: A missing saved item no longer cancels every otherwise valid move in the set. ItemRack reports and skips unavailable slots while equipping the items that are present; no-space and unsafe two-hand transitions remain fail-closed.
  • Cooldown Module Failure Containment (CurseForge: Antatra): The periodic cooldown loop now detects an unavailable cooldown-state module, reports the incomplete load once, and returns safely instead of producing a new Lua error every second.
  • Exact Enchant/Gem Copy Selection (GitHub #24: Bisonpasfute): Saved sets, direct item clicks, queues, bag/bank searches, and the queue editor now distinguish copies that share a base item ID but differ by enchant, gems, suffix, or rune. Searches follow the established Retail behavior—prefer the recorded copy, then allow a compatible base-item substitute only when the exact copy is unavailable—while intentionally bare default IDs remain wildcards.

ItemRack Anniversary v4.46

Choose a tag to compare

@Bl4ut0 Bl4ut0 released this 14 Sep 04:41

ItemRack Anniversary v4.46

This stable release consolidates the tested beta changes for this version.

Changes

Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Instant Single-Frame Batch Pipelining (CurseForge: RollType): Refactored ItemRackTransaction.lua and ItemRackEquip.lua so all non-conflicting gear moves in a set swap are pipelined and submitted simultaneously in a single frame. Equipment transforms instantly as in legacy versions, while preserving full atomic rollback safety if any destination slot or server verification rejects a move.
  • Dual-Spec Weapon Deferral & Shaman Support (CurseForge: darthwhisper): Fixed an issue where switching to a specialization with Dual Wield (e.g. Enhancement Shaman) via set keybind caused gear to continuously swap on/off and fail with "dont have dual spec". ItemRack now checks dual-wield capability; when switching to a dual-wield spec, off-hand weapons are safely deferred until after the talent switch completes, allowing the rest of the set to equip cleanly in 1 frame and equipping the off-hand weapon immediately upon ACTIVE_TALENT_GROUP_CHANGED.
  • Minimap Button Lock Support (CurseForge: RollType): Fixed the minimap button lock setting not preventing the button from being dragged. Integrated ItemRack.ReflectLock() with LibDBIcon-1.0 (LDBIcon:Lock / LDBIcon:Unlock) and added an explicit "Lock minimap button" checkbox under Interface & Misc options.
  • Immediate Lock Reconciliation: OnItemLockChanged now reconciles active equipment transactions on the exact frame ITEM_LOCK_CHANGED fires instead of waiting for the 200ms LocksChanged timer. Multi-item set swaps complete up to 10x faster while preserving 100% transaction safety.
  • Cooldown Proxy Trinkets: Trinkets whose effect is driven by a separate item are no longer treated as permanently ready by AutoQueue. ItemRack.CooldownProxies maps such an item to the item that gates it, readiness resolves through the proxy, the existing buff hold keeps the trinket equipped while its aura runs, and the slot buttons and flyout menu show the gating item's cooldown. Ships with Serpent-Coil Braid keyed to mana gems.
