Blackcoin Core — Protocol V4 (Quantum Quasar)

PoSV4.0 upgrade release.

This is a mandatory Protocol V4 upgrade for Blackcoin. Quantum Quasar adds the Gold Rush migration path, quantum-resistant address support, Gold Rush PoS/PoW participation, and the 24-month transition schedule.

Gold Rush reward accounting starts at block 5,950,000 and runs for 243,000 blocks. The deterministic 10,000 BLK whitelist snapshot is block 5,945,000.

When upgrading from older software versions, back up wallet.dat before installation.

Upgrading from Blackcoin More

On first launch this release automatically finds your existing Blackcoin More data directory, backs up your wallet and settings, and imports everything into the new Blackcoin data directory. Your original Blackcoin More data is never modified or deleted. A progress window shows each step; the import of a fully synced data directory can take several minutes, followed by a one-time Gold Rush state replay — please let it finish. Backups are kept next to the new data directory in a .blackcoin.backup folder.

macOS installation note

The macOS apps are ad-hoc signed. On first open, macOS may warn that the developer cannot be verified: right-click (Control-click) blackcoin-qt.app and choose Open, then Open again — or allow it under System Settings > Privacy & Security. If macOS reports the app is damaged after downloading, clear the quarantine flag with: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/blackcoin-qt.app

Windows installation note

The installer is not code-signed yet; Windows SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC". Click More info, then Run anyway. Verify your download against the SHA256 checksums below first.
