SwitchNOW 1.1.5 Hotfix

This hotfix focuses on smoother video delivery, faster recovery after packet loss, and lower local decode and presentation latency while preserving the stable networking behavior introduced in the 1.1.x series.

Highlights

  • Improved frame pacing with a short adaptive wait only when the decoded-frame queue is temporarily empty.
  • Reduced unnecessary frame reuse and visible micro-freezes without adding permanent buffering latency.
  • Improved RTP reorder and dejitter behavior during short packet bursts and out-of-order delivery.
  • Faster recovery through grouped and repeated NACK requests, RTX handling and earlier IDR/PLI requests.
  • Added a more tolerant startup recovery window for the first seconds of a stream.
  • Removed the unreliable local RTP clock fallback that could cause incorrect timing decisions.
  • Improved software H.264 decoding with a low-latency slice-threading model.
  • Fixed and hardened the experimental Tegra X1 NVDEC path. Automatic mode remains recommended.
  • Preserved live STUN/SCTP RTT monitoring, server selection improvements and the stable 1.1.4 transport path.
  • Expanded stream diagnostics with explicit reasons for repeated or discarded frames.

Installation

  1. Download SwitchNOW-1.1.5.zip.
  2. Extract the switch folder to the root of the SD card.
  3. Start Homebrew Menu in application mode by holding R while opening an installed game.
  4. Launch SwitchNOW.

The standalone SwitchNOW-1.1.5.nro is also available for manual installation to sdmc:/switch/SwitchNOW/.

Notes

  • Auto is the recommended decoder setting for normal use.
  • If a streaming issue remains, enable Diagnostics in Settings and attach signaling.log and runtime.log to a GitHub issue.
  • GeForce NOW availability, game access and session limits still depend on the selected provider, region and membership tier.
