Havre 0.3.0
Havre 0.3.0
FluxCatch is now Havre. This release carries the new name and mark, and the design and site work since 0.2.5.
Highlights
- A new name and mark. Havre is the harbour where Monet painted Impression, soleil levant. The mark is a brush-drawn download arrow over a waterline.
- Files save straight into
~/Downloads. No folder of its own is created there; a folder chosen in Settings still takes precedence. - Site adapters for YouTube (through the yt-dlp already installed on your Mac), Pornhub, MissAV, Jable and The Economist Insider.
- A calmer interface. A still wash of colour in the margins, progress bars in the colour of their state, and one quiet rule between Settings sections.
- A safer sweep. The engine's weekly clean-up of unfinished files now removes only files it wrote, so a browser's
.partfiles in Downloads are left alone.
Upgrading from FluxCatch 0.2.5
- Replace your unpacked extension folder with the contents of
havre-extension-0.3.0.zip. The extension ID does not change, so settings and download history carry over. - Unzip
havre-native-host-macos-0.3.0.zipand run./install-macos.sh. It registers the engine under its new name, removes the old registration and runtime copy, and carries a chosen save folder over. - Reload Havre at
chrome://extensions.
Files saved earlier into ~/Downloads/FluxCatch stay there and stay reachable from the download history.
Requirements
- Google Chrome 116 or newer
- macOS with Python 3.9 or newer; FFmpeg for merging and conversion; yt-dlp for YouTube
Install
- Unzip
havre-extension-0.3.0.zipand load the folder with Load unpacked atchrome://extensions. - Unzip
havre-native-host-macos-0.3.0.zipand run./install-macos.sh.

FluxCatch 0.2.5
This release shipped under the product's former name, FluxCatch. The product is now Havre, and Havre 0.3.0 is the current release; its installer carries a 0.2.5 install over and keeps the save folder you chose.
FluxCatch 0.2.5
Product-finish release on top of the 0.2.4 security-truth foundation.
Highlights
- English and Simplified Chinese manifest catalogs (default zh_CN)
- Bounded Instagram/X SPA response observers for allowlisted progressive MP4 saves, reusing Chrome's network path by default
- Reworked Settings IA with dirty-state validation and explicit permission flows; shared UI tokens across popup, Side Panel and Options
- Reproducible packaging bound to the commit identity; CI runs E2E against the exact shipped extension ZIP
Fixed in the field (The Economist / boomi.net HLS case, #6 #7 #8)
- Masterless rendition playlists now group into one card with a resolution dropdown; audio renditions are labeled 仅音频 and never pose as videos again
- Grouped downloads fetch video + best-bandwidth audio playlists in parallel and merge losslessly through FFmpeg
- Manifest fetching is bounded by a 20-second wall-clock watchdog with an explicit 获取播放列表超时 failure state — no more indefinite "connecting"
- The native engine honors the system HTTP/HTTPS proxy for public targets; loopback/private targets remain direct-pinned (FLUXCATCH_DISABLE_SYSTEM_PROXY=1 restores direct-only)
Requirements
- Extension: Google Chrome 116+
- Native engine: macOS, Python 3.9+, FFmpeg for merge/remux/MP3
