Initial release of Faster, an offline fasting-tracker desktop app.

Downloads

  • Linux (amd64): faster_v0.1.0_linux_amd64.tar.gz — extract it and run ./install.sh for a Start Menu (application menu) entry and desktop-icon support, no sudo needed, or just run ./faster directly. Needs libwebkit2gtk-4.1-0 and libgtk-3-0, already present on most modern desktop Linux distros.
  • Windows (amd64): faster_v0.1.0_windows_amd64.zip — extract it and run install.ps1 for a Start Menu entry and Desktop shortcut, or just run faster.exe directly. Needs the Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime, which ships with Windows 11 and most up-to-date Windows 10 installs; Windows will prompt to install it automatically if missing.

Notes

  • macOS build isn't available yet — it requires building on actual Apple hardware/toolchain, which wasn't available for this release.
  • All data stays local in a SQLite database in your OS user config directory. No accounts, no network access.
