Release 2.5.0
Important Changes
Authentication Handling
The requestAuthentication() method is no longer required for users of the SDK. Authentication is now automatically managed during the initialization of the StreamIngest instance.
Users should not call the requestAuthentication() method, as it has been deprecated. The SDK will handle authentication seamlessly, ensuring a smoother integration process.
Example of unnecessary code
// ⚠️ Do NOT call requestAuthentication() method
// The requestAuthentication() method is not required here.
// Authentication is automatically handled when creating StreamIngest instance.
streamIngest.requestAuthentication { error in
if let error = error {
debugPrint("Authority error = \(error)")
} else {
debugPrint("StreamIngest SDK authority success")
}
}This code is no longer needed, and users can safely remove it from their implementations.
Benefits
This change simplifies the authentication process, reducing the amount of boilerplate code required for setup.
Users can focus on implementing their streaming logic without worrying about manual authentication steps.
