Franklin Agent 3.35.6 — proxy honors explicit max_tokens; build-breaking deps pinned
The payment proxy stops overwriting an explicit max_tokens. It used to replace whatever you sent with min(adaptive, modelCap), where adaptive is twice the previous reply on that model. A client asking for 500 tokens right after a long turn was forwarded several thousand instead — and because the gateway quotes on the ceiling a request asks for, that inflated the upfront hold on a request you'd deliberately kept small. An explicit, positive, finite ask is now honored; only a missing one gets the adaptive default. Clamping to the model's real ceiling stays.
A dependency update that would have broken the build, caught before it shipped. npm update pulled @types/ws across a major (7 → 8) and @colbymchenry/codegraph to 0.9.9, whose new exports map hides the shim Franklin resolves for its built-in CodeGraph MCP server.
Both were invisible to npm test — the suite runs the already-emitted dist/, so a tsc failure and a runtime resolution failure both passed the test gate while npm run build exited non-zero. Both are now pinned, and this release was cut only after checking the build exit code directly, not the test result.
@blockrun/llm also moved 3.5.2 → 3.8.3, carrying the max_tokens guard fix from this line of work.
Local suite 640 pass, build exits 0, tsc clean.
