Troubleshooting
-
Confirm the package is installed:
pi update npm:pi-meta-oauth pi --list-models meta
-
Run
/login metaagain if authorization has expired or the provider cannot refresh its key. -
Check whether Pi's
enabledModelssetting excludesmeta/*. -
Retry without a restrictive model filter.
Never include credentials or authorization responses in an issue report.
- Complete every step on Meta's device-authorization page.
- If Meta presents an account-setup URL, complete that setup and retry
/login meta. - Confirm the system clock and network connection are working.
- A stale or incomplete credential should be replaced by signing in again rather than edited manually.
supportsToolSearch is a provider capability, not a new command. It has an effect only when an installed Pi extension dynamically activates previously inactive tools. Existing built-in tools remain active normally.
- Voice requires macOS.
- Run
/voice-onand then/voiceto inspect status. - Grant microphone access when macOS prompts.
- Ensure another application is not preventing microphone capture.
Check in this order:
- Confirm general network connectivity.
- Determine whether Meta's internal ASR endpoint still resolves.
- Compare the handshake shape with a current Muse Code build.
- Confirm the configured ASR model is still accepted.
The endpoint and model can be overridden with PI_META_VOICE_ASR_ENDPOINT and PI_META_VOICE_ASR_MODEL. The ASR endpoint must normally use wss://.
From a source checkout:
bun run typecheck
bun testThe tests validate provider mapping, OAuth behavior, tool-search metadata, voice helpers, and packaged macOS resources. They do not contact the live Meta ASR endpoint.
If the problem remains, open a GitHub issue with the Pi version, package version, platform, reproduction steps, and sanitized error text.
