Sync / bad-diffbits

A bad-diffbits / incorrect-PoW reject is a consensus or peer issue, not something that needs an Administrator “repair” EXE. Use this v0.7.7 binary, add a known good peer, and compare getblockchaininfo / getnetworkinfo with another node.

Optional chain snapshot (not required if you can IBD):
https://bloodstone.rocks/downloads/bloodstone-chain-bootstrap-latest.tar.gz
Hash the versioned bloodstone-chain-bootstrap-<height>.tar.gz, never assume -latest has a fixed checksum.

Do not

  • Do not use WSL for this wallet
  • Do not pipe curl | sudo as a “sync fix”
  • Do not treat admin “fix-and-launch” helpers as the primary download
