memnest v0.4.0
MemNest 0.4.0
This release adds source-backed coding records and optional single-host team controls.
- Save proposed, failed, or reported-success approaches with their applicability and evidence. Reports are not treated as verified results.
- Explicitly capture selected file fingerprints with
memory_remember(code_files=[...])and compare them withmemory_get(check_code=true). File changes do not automatically invalidate a solution. - Enable named project read/write grants, content-free access audit, and project retention through an optional access policy.
- Permanently remove already-trashed records from serving storage with
POST /purge. Plaintext archival is now off by default. Backups, original transcripts, and physical disk copies are outside this deletion guarantee. - Opt into loopback local-model source selection with
evidence_only. Selected excerpts remain unverified; normal search makes no generative model call.
Installation and scope
Linux x86_64 and aarch64 core archives and SHA-256 files are attached. The pi-memnest-0.4.0.tgz extension is also attached. The extension is published on npm as pi-memnest@0.4.0 with the latest tag. Connect pi with pi install npm:pi-memnest@0.4.0, or use a reviewed source checkout with pi install ./pi-extension.
The team controls are not SSO, high availability, or compliance certification. Model-provider allowlisting is a client routing safeguard, not endpoint attestation or removal of earlier context. The small local comparison did not establish superior retrieval accuracy.
