Boocord Client 1.0.3

Boocord Client 1.0.3 replaces the broken custom setup wrapper from 1.0.2.

Fixed

• replaced the custom Electron setup wrapper with the regular English Windows NSIS wizard
• removed the obsolete installer UI, its IPC endpoints, and its incorrect installed-file lookup
• fixed the false "client file was not found" failure shown after a successful installation
• added normal current-user/all-users selection, destination-folder selection, progress, and finish pages
• preserved the existing app ID so 1.0.2 installations upgrade in place without deleting launcher data or account sessions

Installation

Download Boocord-Client-Installer-1.0.3.exe.

This release is not code-signed. Windows SmartScreen may therefore display
an unknown-publisher warning. A certificate is not required for the launcher or
Microsoft sign-in to function.

Verification

The exact attached installer passed:

• JavaScript syntax, translation, and smoke tests
• an interactive UI check confirming English-only standard wizard text
• an in-place silent upgrade from 1.0.2 with exit code 0
• installed-package and checksum verification
• a packaged launcher start test that opened the Boocord Client window

Known limitations

Microsoft sign-in code was not changed in this release. Known npm audit
findings remain in the transitive dependency tree of
minecraft-launcher-core@3.18.2; they are tracked as third-party dependency
debt and are disclosed in the repository checklist.

Boocord Client 1.0.2

Warning

Superseded by Boocord Client 1.0.3.
The 1.0.2 custom setup wrapper can falsely report that the client file was not
found after the inner installer completed successfully. Use 1.0.3, which
replaces that wrapper with the regular English Windows installer.

Boocord Client 1.0.2 is the first stable open-source release of the Windows launcher.

Installation

Download Boocord.Client.Installer.1.0.2.exe. The smaller
Boocord.Client.Setup.1.0.2.exe is the inner NSIS installer and is provided
as a fallback.
