• PDFs and comic books — a PDF, CBZ or CBR in your library now downloads in its
  own format and opens natively in KOReader, with your place in the book syncing
  across your devices. Highlights in a PDF sync both ways.

Fixes

• More accurate highlights — highlights are placed and drawn more accurately in
  some books, both the ones you make in KOReader and the ones that come from your
  other devices.
• Reading positions from the web reader — more of them now open exactly where you
  left off, in books where they could land at the start of the chapter instead.
• Highlight times account for your time zone — a highlight's time is sent in UTC,
  so it reads correctly in BookFusion wherever you are.

Coming from v1.1.2? This release also carries the v1.1.3 and v1.1.4 fixes:
highlight colours and note edits sync in from your other devices, pushing a reading
position works on every page of a book, and in-app updates work on KOReader 2026.07

Fixes

• Pushing a reading position works on every page — on some pages the plugin could not read the current position, and "Pushing reading position…" stayed on screen with nothing happening. Positions now sync from anywhere in a book, and a sync that does fail says so instead of leaving the message up.
• In-app updates work again on KOReader 2026.07 and later — KOReader 2026.07 removed the archive call the updater used, so installing an update failed with "couldn't extract the update". The plugin now uses KOReader's current extraction API, and falls back to the old one on earlier KOReader versions.
• Quieter logs — KOReader no longer warns about a deprecated field in the plugin's metadata on every startup.

Updating

An update is installed by the version you already have, so if you are on KOReader 2026.07 or later and on plugin v1.1.3 or earlier, Tools → BookFusion → Updates cannot install this release — it will fail with "couldn't extract the update". Download the zip below and replace your existing bookfusion.koplugin folder once. From v1.1.4 onward, in-app updating works again.

• Reading positions from the web and mobile apps now restore correctly — opening a book you were reading elsewhere takes you to where you left off instead of jumping to the first page.
• Highlight colors now carry over into KOReader — a highlight made on the web or in the apps keeps its color, matched to the closest of KOReader's nine.
• Highlight color and note changes sync in — recoloring a highlight or editing its note on another device updates it in KOReader.

• Non-Latin book titles in filenames — books with Cyrillic, Chinese/Japanese/Korean, or accented titles now download under their real name. Previously those characters were stripped out, which could leave a book with a blank filename and cause several such books to collapse into a single file — sharing one reading position and set of highlights.
• Renaming or moving a book no longer breaks sync — if you rename or move a downloaded book, whether inside KOReader or from a computer, reading progress and highlight sync keep working. Previously the book was treated as no longer downloaded and quietly stopped syncing.
