🆕 Tico forwarder support

A new Tico tab sits alongside RetroArch, so you can batch-build forwarders for the Tico frontend too:

• Point it at your SD card's tico folder, pick a console, tick games, and build.
• Automatic covers via SteamGridDB (add your API key in settings).
• Library check validates your Tico layout (folder structure, cover sizes, per-console quirks) before you build.

📦 New packaging — now a folder, not a single .exe

The app now ships as a ZIP folder you extract and run, instead of one big self-extracting .exe. This meaningfully reduces antivirus false positives (single-file PyInstaller apps unpack themselves to a temp dir at launch — behavior that AV heuristics flag).

Install

1. Download NSP-Forwarder-Studio-v1.2.0.zip below and unzip it anywhere.
2. Inside the extracted NSP Forwarder Studio folder, run NSP Forwarder Studio.exe.
3. Put your Switch prod.keys in the keys folder — or click Locate prod.keys… in the app.

Keep the .exe inside its folder — it needs the _internal folder next to it.

⚠️ Antivirus note

Some antivirus products may still flag the app — it is a false positive (an open-source PyInstaller app). See the README for details. The false positive has been reported to the vendors.

NSP RetroArch Batch Forwarder v1.1.13

A big update since v1.0.0 — covers, cores, and a lot of polish.

Covers

• Download missing box art in one click from the libretro thumbnail server (the same source RetroArch uses), straight into the correct thumbnails folder — created if needed.
• Downloads run in parallel, so large playlists finish quickly.
• At-a-glance status per game: cover found · downloadable · not available on the server.
• Titles with no art are remembered so they aren't retried every time.
• Icon fit options for wide/tall covers (e.g. N64): fit-whole-cover with a blurred backdrop, dark bars, or crop-to-fill.

Cores

• Smart core picker — cores are listed by console, and the ones that match your playlist's system are starred and shown first. No more guessing which .nro is which.

Workflow

• Live Selected panel showing everything queued, each with its Title ID.
• Settings menu — publisher name, preferred art, output folder (with optional auto-open on finish), and what to do when an NSP already exists (keep both / overwrite / skip).
• Nothing selected by default, multi-row game names, and assorted fixes.

Setup (unchanged)

One .exe, bundled toolchain — just add your own prod.keys. See the README for full instructions.

Batch-build RetroArch forwarder NSPs for Nintendo Switch straight from your RetroArch playlists.

Install

1. Download and unzip NSP-RetroArch-Batch-Forwarder-v1.0.0.zip.
2. Put your Switch prod.keys in the keys folder (or use Locate prod.keys… in the app).
3. Run NSP Forwarder Studio.exe, browse to your RetroArch \playlists folder, pick a playlist, select games, and Build.
4. Built .nsp files appear in the output folder — install them on your Switch.

Everything (hacbrewpack + forwarder template) is bundled — the only thing you supply is your own keys. Windows SmartScreen may warn on the unsigned app: More info → Run anyway.
