FS25 Keybind Inspector v1.0

The first public release of FS25 Keybind Inspector, a free browser-based utility created by Boy Meets Farming for Farming Simulator 25 players on PC.

With an ever-growing number of FS25 mods adding their own keyboard shortcuts, it can become difficult to know which keys are already in use — or which mod a particular keybind belongs to.

FS25 Keybind Inspector is designed to make that easier.

The tutorial covers downloading the app, loading your FS25 keybind file, scanning your mods, checking bindings, finding free keys, and identifying conflicts.

🔍 Check your keybinds

Load your existing FS25 inputBinding.xml and quickly:

  • Check whether a key or key combination is already assigned
  • Press a key combination directly to search for it
  • Browse and search all of your current bindings
  • Find available keyboard combinations
  • Identify shared or conflicting key assignments

🧩 Identify mod keybinds

Optionally select your Farming Simulator 25 mods folder and the Inspector will scan installed mod packages locally.

It reads declared input actions from each mod's modDesc.xml and attempts to identify which mod is responsible for custom actions found in your keybind configuration.

🛡️ Local, private and read-only

The Inspector runs entirely in your web browser.

Your inputBinding.xml and mod files remain on your computer and are not uploaded by the utility.

FS25 Keybind Inspector is also read-only. It does not change your keybinds, mods, savegames or other Farming Simulator files.

🚜 No installation required

  1. Download and extract FS25_Keybind_Inspector_v1.0_Protected.zip.
  2. Open FS25_Keybind_Inspector_v1.0.html in a modern desktop browser.
  3. Select your FS25 inputBinding.xml.
  4. Start inspecting your keybinds.
  5. Optionally select your FS25 mods folder for mod identification.

⚠️ Known limitations

Some mods register input actions dynamically through Lua rather than declaring them normally in modDesc.xml. These actions may appear as Base game / Unknown.

Certain Windows or browser-reserved keyboard shortcuts may also be intercepted before the Inspector can capture them.
