  • Adaptive polling: feed check intervals grow linearly up to a configurable cap (default 6h) and respect server hints (Cache-Control, Retry-After, RSS ttl/skipHours); sy:updatePeriod is ignored
  • Feeds are disabled only after a week of continuous errors, shown as disabled in feed lists and reactivated on subscribe
  • Post template can be set via POST_TEMPLATE; a template error skips the item instead of aborting the update
  • Support connecting to MariaDB/MySQL via Unix socket
  • Operational messages go to the admin only
  • Security and robustness: redirects from public feeds to private addresses are refused, HTML output is escaped, invalid UTF-8 is dropped, permanent redirects are persisted only when the target works
  • NixOS module and flake added, with hardened systemd service and VM test
  • Requires Go 1.26; tested against MariaDB 11.4, 12.3 and 13.0
