Release list
L.L.E 1.0.6.7
L.L.E 1.0.6.7 — Seasonal controls and Easter egg
What's new
- Added Easter egg. A little surprise awaits the curious.
- Added a seasonal calendar choice in Doodle for the automatic Seasonal effect
and doodle. - Updated the S3 None lock and unlock sounds.
Package
- Version:
1.0.6.7(versionCode 49). - Application ID:
com.codex.lle64. - ABI:
arm64-v8a. - Minimum Android version: Android 6.0 / API 23.
L.L.E 1.0.6.6
L.L.E 1.0.6.6 — Advanced controls and compatibility
This release reorganizes L.L.E's advanced controls, adds safer compatibility
options for unusual lockscreen apps and improves effect behavior across slower
devices, modern displays and stricter mobile GPU drivers.
Interface
- Added a dedicated ADV tab with focused expandable sections for Setup,
app lists, Battery, Display, Compatibility, Tester tools and Dangerous
controls. - Moved wallpaper-source controls back beside the effects that use them and
separated the ordinary lockscreen cache from the LG Last screen source. - Removed the retired Doodle debug panel while keeping useful AOD controls.
- Added a persistent hidden customization page unlocked after 17 swipes. The
page is explicitly marked as unfinished and under active development.
Lockscreen compatibility
- Added optional automatic protection against focused third-party activities
appearing above the lockscreen. - Added a dedicated allowlist picker so compatible lockscreen apps can remain
visible without disabling L.L.E globally. - Kept L.L.E, SystemUI, AOD, launchers, keyboards and other core surfaces
protected from accidental filtering.
LG Last screen
- Added Force custom wallpaper for Last screen effects as an independent
per-display source for devices where Android's screen-off capture is too late
or unavailable. - Kept the custom Last screen source separate from the normal lockscreen cache:
effects that need both images, such as Revolving Glass, retain both sources. - Documented the automatic-capture timing limitation on slower devices and the
manual fallback path.
Effect fixes
- Fixed Revolving Glass shader linkage on stricter Mali drivers by using
matching vertex/fragment precision and preventing failed surfaces from being
reported as ready. - Increased the drag-ripple interval from the stock-equivalent
150/720to a
modernized180/720scale for Water Ripple and Ink in Water. - Applied the same distance scaling to Ripple Ink, including S Pen and
water-only paths, and aligned its visual and audio ripple thresholds.
Package
- Version:
1.0.6.6(versionCode 48). - Application ID:
com.codex.lle64. - ABI:
arm64-v8a. - Minimum Android version: Android 6.0 / API 23.
L.L.E 1.0.6.5
L.L.E 1.0.6.5 — S Pen Ripple Ink and Light Particle variants
This release adds stylus-aware interaction to N3 Ripple Ink, preserves the
distinct LG and XLocker Light Particle behaviors, and polishes their picker
controls on modern devices.
N3 Ripple Ink
- Added an optional S Pen mode for devices with Samsung stylus support.
- Stylus pressure now scales the injected ink mass while preserving the normal
finger-driven renderer when the option is disabled. - Hardened pointer transitions, cancellation and repeated-gesture cleanup so
stylus input cannot leave stale ink or an unresponsive overlay behind. - Kept HFR in the standard left-hand position used by the other effect
cards and placed the additional S Pen control on the right.
LG Light Particle
- Split the recovered behaviors into selectable V1 and V2 variants.
- Preserved their distinct geometry, anchoring, timing, rotation and particle
distribution instead of treating the variants as a simple density change. - Added deterministic scene coverage for the variant-specific paths.
Interface and credits
- HFR remains enabled by default for supported effects through the current
preference schema. - Credits now include Erik Kiorai's S Pen contribution and historical
SamsungEffectTester work, plus Curtis's Material You interface contribution.
Package
- Version:
1.0.6.5(versionCode 47). - Application ID:
com.codex.lle64. - ABI:
arm64-v8a. - Minimum Android version: Android 6.0 / API 23.
L.L.E 1.0.6.4
L.L.E 1.0.6.4
This release expands the restored LG family with two effects recovered from
original LG phones. also some effect got more accurate thanks to the original being used to reverse instead of xlocker ones.
We are approaching the end of the existing effect , some are left out by choice , some cause they are horrible , next release will polish some missing stuff and do some final touch on the effect , than i will focus on compatibility !
New LG effects
- Hula Hoop: includes the distinct V1 and V2 render paths, selectable from
the effect card. - Circle Mosaic: restores LG G4's 15-by-25 cell shader. Nine circular cells
appear around the initial touch and progressively expand with the drag.
Refinements
- Added matching icon artwork for Hula Hoop and Circle Mosaic.
- Added the recovered Light Particle visual variants to the existing variant
selector. - Refined White Hole background distortion against the LG default behavior.
- Tiny rework of the gui to make it better.
Package
- Version:
1.0.6.4(versionCode 46). - Application ID:
com.codex.lle64. - ABI:
arm64-v8a. - Minimum Android version: Android 6.0 / API 23.
L.L.E 1.0.6.3 - G2 Vector, themed icons and Samsung recovery
New effect: G2 Vector
G2 Vector joins the LG effects collection, with animated rings, bubbles and rays,
recovered original textures and sounds, and a new LLE-style picker icon.
It uses the separate lockscreen and Last screen caches for the reveal and unlock
transition. The effect is ported into L.L.E; no donor APK is bundled.
Material You / themed launcher icon
Added a monochrome version of the current L.L.E logo for Android 13+ themed icons,
including compatible Samsung One UI launchers. The launcher supplies the colors
from your system palette. The normal rainbow icon remains unchanged.
Enable themed icons or apply the color palette to app icons in your launcher settings.
Possible Samsung Cocktail Bar fix
This release includes a targeted candidate fix related to
issue #35 (Galaxy A51).
A stale Cocktail Bar window reference could keep effects hidden or interrupted
after that window had disappeared. L.L.E now clears that stale reference after
confirming the blocking window is no longer present and respecting the existing
grace period.
This is a possible resolution, not yet confirmed on the reporting Galaxy A51.
Active blocking windows remain protected. The change does not claim to eliminate
Android's compatibility warning or every symptom reported in the issue.
The issue remains open for feedback; please test and share a new debug report if
the problem persists.

L.L.E 1.0.6.2
L.L.E 1.0.6.2
L.L.E 1.0.6.2 hardens Last screen capture and fallback behavior across normal
phones and dual-screen Fold layouts while preserving the 1.0.6.1 Random mode.
Last screen reliability
- Added an automatic exact-profile lockscreen-cache fallback for LG effects when
a fresh Last screen capture is temporarily unavailable. - Kept Last screen and lockscreen caches independent: a successful pre-lock
capture remains the preferred source and replaces a temporary fallback. - Rejects stale asynchronous captures after a display, profile, orientation or
buffer-geometry change instead of applying them to the wrong screen. - Validates cache display profile and exact dimensions before use, preventing a
Main-screen frame from leaking into a Cover-screen effect or vice versa.
Fold and setup wizard
- Added independent Main and Cover capture guidance and readiness status for
Fold devices. - Fixed a Fold handoff state that could leave capture permanently blocked after
switching panels even though no L.L.E overlay remained attached. - Fixed setup previews that could show a stale solid-black tester placeholder
instead of a valid Last screen or effect-background cache. - Fixed red/blue channel inversion in sampled raw ARGB previews by decoding rows
through Android's bitmap pixel contract instead of assuming host byte order. - Touch-box and cache previews now resolve the active display profile and geometry
consistently with the runtime renderer.
Compatibility and scope
- Confirmed the updated capture and fallback path on a Galaxy S23 Ultra and on a
Galaxy Fold using separate Main and Cover cache profiles. - Random mode continues to select and preload effects normally on Fold.
- Effect scale on very large inner Fold displays remains device-dependent; this
maintenance release does not rescale or otherwise change effect artwork. - Version:
1.0.6.2(versionCode 44). - Package:
com.codex.lle64. - ABI:
arm64-v8aonly. - Recommended APK:
LLE64-1.0.6.2-64-bit.apk.
L.L.E 1.0.6.1
L.L.E 1.0.6.1
L.L.E 1.0.6.1 adds the configurable Random unlock mode and completes the final
Pixelate fidelity work from the 1.0.6 restoration release.
Random unlock mode
- Added Random above the effect list, with a dedicated EDIT POOL mode.
- The initial pool includes every compatible low-cost effect available to the
current build and wallpaper mode. - Whole effect cards toggle pool membership; selected cards are highlighted and
ordinary browsing remains uncluttered when pool editing is closed. - Resource-heavy renderers remain available as explicit opt-ins. Enabling one
requires two consecutive warnings; removing it remains immediate. The three
Good Lock variants are included in this protected group. - Random uses a shuffle bag: it exhausts the selected pool before refilling it
and avoids an immediate repeat whenever at least two candidates are available. - The selected renderer remains stable throughout one lock cycle, including AOD,
Quick Settings, rotation and renderer recreation. The next renderer is chosen
only after a confirmed unlock and is preloaded while the device is unlocked. - Empty pools and renderer failures use S3 None for the affected cycle, then
resume the selected Random pool after the next completed unlock.
Refresh and Pixelate fidelity
- High frame rate mode now defaults to enabled for every renderer that supports
it. An explicit user choice to disable HFR remains preserved. - G2 Pixelate starts the SystemUI unlock handoff at its recovered 400 ms visual
completion boundary while retaining the Last screen underlay through 1000 ms.
This keeps the transition covered without delaying the unlock command. - Restored G2 Pixelate's original
mosaic_touchdown,mosaic_unlockand
mosaic_lockaudio from the authorized archive, mapped independently to touch,
unlock and screen-lock events.
Reliability
- Random preference changes rebuild only the selected renderer and retain the
outgoing animation tail before preparing the next cycle. - Rapid relocking commits a pending Random draw at screen-off so the previous
candidate is not repeated while the normal post-unlock preload is still queued. - Random renderer failure remains isolated to one cycle and does not replace the
user's fixed-effect preference or corrupt the selected pool.
Scope
- Version:
1.0.6.1(versionCode 43). - Package:
com.codex.lle64. - ABI:
arm64-v8aonly. - The production APK is Samsung-free and does not ship archived applications or
the original Pixelate APK; only the three authorized audio resources are
included in the app-owned restoration. - Recommended APK:
LLE64-1.0.6.1-64-bit.apk.
L.L.E 1.0.6.0
L.L.E 1.0.6.0
L.L.E 1.0.6.0 is the stable ARM64 restoration release. It promotes the new LG,
Sony and Samsung effects, adds animated picker previews and strengthens the
capture, renderer and unlock handoff paths used on modern Android.
Restored effects
- Added S3 None as the first Samsung effect, including the recovered lock
affordance animation and no-colormap support. - Added G1 White Hole, G1 Dewdrop, G2 Soda, G2 Particle,
G2 Light Particle, G2 Pixelate and G2 Crystal under LG effects. - Added Xperia Z1 Blinds and Revolving Glass under Sony effects.
- Revolving Glass is an inspired modern restoration: it preserves the rotating
glass interaction while using separate lockscreen and Last screen sources,
a luminous rounded tile, bounded spin velocity and a deterministic fade/scale
handoff suitable for current lockscreen overlays. - Xperia Z2 Particle, LG G1 Ripple and Xperia X10 are not planned because a
partial restoration would omit their coupled background behaviour or add a
renderer with too little practical value.
Fidelity and presentation
- Added matching effect icons and animated long-press previews for the restored
effects, with picker text describing the visual result rather than provenance. - Reorganized the picker as Samsung, Good Lock, LG effects and Sony, followed by
Seasonal effects. - N3 Ripple Ink now shares the Ink in Water icon, matching their visual family.
- Removed provisional labels from the promoted effect list.
- Tuned LG/Sony source persistence independently so the Last screen remains
visible through the renderer tail and SystemUI unlock handoff.
Capture and reliability
- Added the private per-profile Last screen cache used by LG/Sony effects
without replacing the existing lockscreen colormap cache. - Exposed both caches in the setup wizard and diagnostics, including fallback
controls when the preferred source is unavailable. - Hardened renderer teardown/recreation, touch cancellation and repeated gesture
handling across Lens Flare, Abstract Tiles and the restored effects. - Restored the native Canvas Lens Flare path as the production default for all
four variants; GLES remains an explicit diagnostic comparison path. - Fixed the Abstract Tiles hint path so a failed or dismissed hint cannot leave
a retained tile or block subsequent touches.
Scope
- The configurable Random effect pool is deferred to 1.0.6.1.
- Version:
1.0.6.0(versionCode 42). - Package:
com.codex.lle64. - ABI:
arm64-v8aonly. - The production APK is Samsung-free and does not ship legacy vendor native
binaries or archived applications. - Recommended APK:
LLE64-1.0.6.0-64-bit.apk.
L.L.E 1.0.5.7
L.L.E 1.0.5.7 expands the Samsung-free ARM64 effect set, reduces colormap startup work, and hardens lockscreen handoff and diagnostics.
Effects and rendering
- Added the production Note 3 Ripple Ink renderer with eight selectable ink palettes.
- Added app-owned Good Lock Popping Color, Rectangle Traveller, and Bouncing Color effects.
- Added per-effect high-frame-rate presentation/adaptive physics controls where wall-clock behaviour can be preserved.
- Added display-aware Seasonal scaling and longer visible tails.
- Made the app-owned GLES Lens Flare renderer the default; Canvas remains available for comparison.
- Added Original, Blue Ring, Blood, and procedural Lightning Lens Flare styles. Lightning is GL-only.
Colormap and display handling
- Automatic colormaps are persisted as validated raw ARGB8888 data, avoiding PNG decode during renderer startup.
- Improved portrait/landscape profile handling for tablets and Fold devices.
- Added a tester-only no-colormap mode for very slow or memory-constrained devices.
- Moved wallpaper recapture and cache timing controls under Wallpaper source.
Reliability and diagnostics
- Hardened touch-window removal and unlock handoff on slower devices.
- Preserved full visible unlock tails before SystemUI handoff.
- Expanded structured display, colormap, renderer-readiness, and touch-window diagnostics.
- Added a clearly warned advanced unredacted report for trusted private debugging.
Package
- Version: 1.0.5.7 (versionCode 39)
- Package: com.codex.lle64
- ABI: arm64-v8a only
- Samsung-free production build
L.L.E 1.0.5.6
L.L.E 1.0.5.6
L.L.E 1.0.5.6 adds the production ARM64 Note 3 Ripple Ink port and the
app-owned Good Lock-inspired particle set. The recommended APK remains
Samsung-free.
N3 Ripple Ink
- Added N3 Ripple Ink to the ARM64 production picker immediately after
S4 Lens Flare. - Recovered its touch state machine, pressure profiles, velocity worker,
density advection, AddInk ordering and release behavior from the Note 3 ENB4
oracle. - Added eight stock one-based Ink palette choices with rendered-colour
previews and live selection. - Ordinary finger input is always accepted; an S Pen is not required.
- Added hybrid HFR operation: the water mesh follows the display refresh rate
while all Ink simulation passes remain on their integral 60 Hz cadence. - Added an app-owned ARM64 JNI worker. The extracted Samsung oracle library is
used only for reverse validation and is not included in the APK.
Good Lock-inspired effects
- Added app-owned Popping Color, Rectangle Traveller and Bouncing Color
variants. - Particles sample the selected lockscreen image without painting it as an
opaque fullscreen layer. - Added per-effect HFR presentation and HFR-only physics-speed controls.
Reliability and packaging
- Ripple Ink fails closed if its native/GLES resource chain is unavailable and
reports readiness before accepting a gesture. - Kept the production ARM64 package free of legacy Samsung effect binaries.
- Added Java oracle/concurrency/JNI wiring tests and a native C worker suite.
- Version:
1.0.5.6(versionCode 32).
