Release list
Cordless v1.0.0
Cordless 1.0.0
A native Discord client for the PlayStation Vita. It talks straight to Discord over TLS, so there's no bridge server and nothing to self-host.
Features
- Servers, DMs, group DMs, and threads
- Send, edit, reply, react, and forward; scroll up to load history
- Images, GIFs, WebP, and video / voice-message playback
- Emoji, live presence, typing indicators, friends, and profile popouts
- Join by invite, block users, and multiple accounts
- Settings: light/dark theme, accent color, font size, compact mode, 12/24h clock, and a low-battery mode
Voice channels are still a work in progress and are turned off in this build.
Logging in
No password either way. Two options:
- QR code: scan the on-screen code with the official Discord mobile app. It's the quick path, but Discord sometimes asks for a captcha during QR sign-in that the Vita can't complete. If that happens, use the token method.
- Token: put your Discord user token on the card once. The full walkthrough (a one-click bookmarklet, the browser Network tab, or by hand) is in docs/login.md. (https://github.com/Brendonm17/Cordless/blob/main/docs/login.md)
Terms of service
Using a user token with a third-party client is against Discord's Terms of Service. Cordless is built for personal use and interoperability, not automation, and you run it on your own account at your own risk. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord or Sony.
AI was used for API research and live area assets.
Install
- A Vita or PS TV on HENkaku / h-encore2 (firmware 3.60 to 3.74) with unsafe homebrew enabled.
- Copy Cordless.vpk to the Vita and install it in VitaShell.
- Launch it, then follow docs/login.md to add your token.
