Sonora 1.0.1
The first update to Sonora.
What's new
- More soundbar settings, the ones Sonos' mobile apps offer: speech enhancement level, TV autoplay and ungrouping on autoplay, IR signal light, IR repeater, Trueplay on/off, touch controls, surround distance and sub phase. Each appears only on soundbars that support it.
- Speaker software updates can be started from Systems and rooms, and Sonora now hears about new updates from the speakers themselves
- Speaker versions are shown as a release and a build
- The Network check page has advice for mesh Wi-Fi and managed networks, with links to the makers' own guidance
- The big player can hide its queue
Fixes
- Speech enhancement now switches on and off on the Beam (Gen 2) and Ray
- Sliders in Sonofuture, Liquid Glass and Material Girl no longer stick partway when moved with the mouse wheel
- Hi-Fi's switches have been redrawn
- The start-up screen is legible in Hot Dog Stand
- Liquid Glass's tile shadows are no longer cut off
- Updated dependencies

Sonora 1.0.0
The first public release of Sonora, a self-hosted web controller for Sonos S1 and S2 systems.
Sonora runs on a machine on your home network and serves its controller to any browser there, so it works on Linux, phones, tablets and anything else with a web browser.
What's in it
- S1 and S2 speakers in one controller (their room groups and music services stay separate, as on Sonos' own apps)
- Music services, local music libraries, Sonos Favorites and Sonos Playlists
- Grouping, volume, EQ (including soundbar, Sub, surround and line-in settings), sleep timers and alarms
- "This browser", which plays through the page itself as one more room
- An S2 upgrade advisor and a diagnostics page with response times and radio conditions for every room
- Twelve themes, among them close recreations of Sonos' Windows, Mac and web apps, plus a theme engine for making your own (see THEMES.md)
- Twenty languages
- Local first: it talks to your speakers directly, and signing in to Sonos is optional
Install
Docker images are published for linux/amd64 and linux/arm64 (a 64-bit Raspberry Pi OS is fine):
mkdir -p ~/sonora/data && cd ~/sonora
curl -O https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Bretteroo/Sonora/v1.0.0/docker-compose.yml
In docker-compose.yml, replace </path/to/data> with ./data, then:
docker compose up -d
Open http://<that machine's address>:50205. The README covers updating, settings and running without Docker.
