clawd-actor 0.7.1 — costume touch-ups
- Costume touch-ups, and new demo GIFs showing the detective and the homemaker on the five-row stage.
Update with /clawd-actor:update, then /reload-plugins.
clawd-actor 0.7.0 — dressed for the part
- Clawd dresses for the part. Eleven characters across twelve scenes: a detective in a fedora with a magnifying glass (thinking, reading and searching files), a footballer in a number 10 shirt (kicking), an astronaut in a glass helmet (levitating), a homemaker with a curly perm and an apron (cooking, baking), a shaolin disciple with prayer beads (閃身步), a wizard (conjuring), a cowboy (herding), a painter in a beret (sketching), a professor in a mortarboard (at the blackboard), a DJ in headphones (disco) and a clown with a red nose (juggling).
- The stage is one row taller (5 instead of 4). The top row holds the hats, so they stay on when Clawd hops.
Update with /clawd-actor:update, then /reload-plugins.
clawd-actor 0.6.2 — no more blink
- No more Clawd flash on
/reload-plugins(#3, #5). A command's busy moment sets the engine's working flag without starting a turn, which drew Clawd for one frame; the band now shows only while a turn actually runs. A band drawn just before a turn starts still animates through it. Found and fixed by @mangxy.
Update with /clawd-actor:update, then /reload-plugins.
clawd-actor 0.6.1 — no more freezes
- Clawd keeps moving while a Workflow runs (#2). A subagent's turn ending, a workflow agent's included, no longer stops the main turn's show; before, Clawd froze on one frame until the next turn.
/reload-pluginsmid-turn no longer stops the show (#3). The turn's show is kept in$.state, which a reload keeps, so Clawd picks up where it was instead of standing still with a reset rotation. A one-frame blink while the engine swaps plugins may remain; that moment is the engine's.
Update with /clawd-actor:update, then /reload-plugins.
clawd-actor 0.6.0 — 閃身步, the flash step
A new move, 閃身步 (shift), the martial-arts flash step, by @coconpou in #4:
- Clawd calls the move — 閃, 身, 步 appear one at a time behind it — takes its stance, then flashes across the stage in three frames, leaving afterimages that fade (▓ ▒ ░), and lands sliding. Then the same back the other way.
/clawd shiftor/clawd 閃身步plays it at once. As a scene it comes with the spinner word Beaming and joins the rotation (32 scenes now)./clawdreactions now start from their own first frame, so a move opens from the beginning and thefeedcookie always rolls in from the start.
Needs a terminal font that draws CJK characters two columns wide, as nearly all do.
Update with /clawd-actor:update, then /reload-plugins.
clawd-actor 0.5.3 — fixes from review
Fixes
/clawd constructor,/clawd toStringand the like now reach Clawd as a chat instead of quietly playing the idle scene.- A late answer from Haiku no longer cuts off a newer
/clawd(say, a/clawd petsent while Clawd was still thinking), and two quick chats can no longer answer out of order. - Speech bubbles keep straight borders in Thai, Hindi and other scripts with combining marks, and with an accent typed separately.
- Other band mods get the rows Clawd leaves them, so together everything still fits without the band scrolling; when the band is too short for the stage, Clawd stays out.
Found by the automated review of the claude-code-templates pull request.

clawd-actor 0.5.2 — what's new after an update
What's new after an update
- The first session on a newer version shows a notice with the release's headline and a link to the release notes, however clawd-actor was updated (
/clawd-actor:update,claude plugin update, or automatically). It starts with the next update: 0.5.2 is the first version that remembers which version ran last. /clawd-actor:updatenow also sums up what changed in the releases it updated past./clawd-actor:updateexplains how to move a copy installed from claude-code-templates (clawd-actor@skills-dir) to the marketplace install, which updates itself.
Update
Run /clawd-actor:update (or ask Claude to update clawd-actor), then /reload-plugins.
clawd-actor 0.5.1 — lighter frames
Lighter
- Frames are drawn in place: about 23 µs a frame instead of 59, with every frame unchanged.
- Fixed: the frame counter wrapped after about 3.9 hours, which broke a turn's scene timing if it ran across the wrap.
- The README now says Clawd shows in
claudein any terminal (an editor's terminal too), not in the Desktop app or the VS Code chat panel.
Update
Run /clawd-actor:update (or ask Claude to update clawd-actor), then /reload-plugins.
clawd-actor 0.5.0 — talk to Clawd
Talk to Clawd
/clawd runs at once, even while Claude is working, and never interrupts the turn.
| You type | Clawd |
|---|---|
/clawd pet |
purrs, with hearts floating up |
/clawd feed |
catches a cookie and munches it |
/clawd wave (or hi, hello) |
waves back |
/clawd dance |
dances under the disco ball |
/clawd <anything else> |
answers in a speech bubble |
- Actions are free and instant; between turns Clawd steps out for them, then leaves again.
- Anything else is a chat: Clawd answers in a sentence or two, in your language, knowing what Claude is up to. The answer comes from Haiku (one small call per message, on your usage) and shows only in Clawd's bubble — it is not written to the transcript, so Claude's conversation never sees it.
Update
Run /clawd-actor:update (or ask Claude to update clawd-actor), then /reload-plugins.
clawd-actor 0.4.0 — disco, little Clawds and in-app updates
Everything since the first 0.3.0 release. The version stayed at 0.3.0 while these landed, so marketplace installs received them all with 0.4.0.
New scenes
- Disco: a spinning mirror ball, glints, a flashing floor and a little pink dancer.
- Kick, skate and campfire (thanks to @coconpou in #1), and chalk: Clawd writes on a blackboard, steps back to admire it, then wipes it.
- Hatching is now a little story: the egg wobbles, cracks and a baby Clawd hops out.
Little Clawds
Small Clawds in blue, yellow, green and pink: a copycat by the idle hop, backup dancers, two that walk in a row behind Clawd, two by the campfire, and the baby from the egg.
Clawd
- A face: happy ^ ^ eyes, blinks, glances around, and a sway that shades its far side.
- Props stay put: by a pot, an oven, an anvil or a plant, Clawd stays and works instead of carrying them across the stage; nothing is drawn over its face any more.
The show
- A running tool or the spinner word picks only the opening scene; after that a shuffled rotation runs every 15 s, whatever tools run, and picks up where the last turn stopped.
- A scene now holds for its whole act instead of jumping when a tool starts or the spinner changes.
Updates
/clawd-actor:update, or asking Claude, updates through Claude Code's plugin manager.- A notice says when a newer version is out.
