Added

  • Admin Maintenance is now the control center for server drift: admins get a guarded Maintenance tab with current OS/kernel/update/backup/service state, compatibility guardrails, action risk labels, impact/recovery notes, recent job history, and themed action confirmations.
  • Dashboard maintenance alerts are useful without becoming the cockpit: the Dashboard now surfaces maintenance/security drift as a dismissible notification and routes action to Admin Maintenance instead of exposing broad server controls in the daily dashboard.
  • Safe maintenance actions run as background jobs: owner-approved actions can generate a read-only maintenance plan, prepare a reboot checklist, refresh apt metadata, create a maintenance backup, or run guarded security-only updates.

Fixed

  • Full-stack app stops now terminate the real listener: full-stack app processes run in their own process group, and stopApp() signals that group, waits for the port to close, and falls back to SIGKILL when needed so npm start child processes cannot keep serving after the portal reports the app stopped.
  • Agent Chat status/thought messages survive refreshes better: assistant status events are now persisted and replayed with runtime history so refreshes no longer drop important progress/status context from active or recent turns.
  • Codex app-server idle timeouts are handled more defensively: if Codex reports a turn/completed idle timeout after visible assistant output already reached the portal, the turn is completed cleanly; otherwise the UI shows a recoverable delayed-completion status before failing.

Improved

  • Maintenance automation respects Portal compatibility boundaries: broad upgrades remain review-only, reboot remains scheduled/manual, and security automation now blocks when protected Portal-managed packages such as bridgesllm*, openclaw*, stalwart*, stalwart-mail, or caddy need compatibility review first.
  • Background task discovery is cleaner: maintenance jobs remain reachable from Admin Maintenance and job history, while the global sidebar avoids a Background Tasks destination that users do not need during normal portal work.

Maintenance

  • Release validation now covers the real maintenance and app-process failure modes: tests and live test-box validation cover maintenance UI/action flows, Codex idle-timeout handling, status-history replay, and full-stack app start/stop/start behavior through the live Portal API.
