Beta (v0.1.0). Under active testing. Please report issues.

MeshWX broadcasts National Weather Service warnings over Meshtastic and/or MeshCore radios, so your mesh keeps getting tornado, flood, and severe storm alerts when the internet is down.

Download / run (all platforms)

  • Windows: download MeshWX-windows-v0.1.0.zip below, unzip, run MeshWX.exe.
  • Docker (incl. 64-bit Raspberry Pi): docker pull ghcr.io/brokensignal/meshwx:latest
  • Raspberry Pi / Linux (native): git clone https://github.com/BrokenSignal/MeshWX && cd MeshWX && sudo ./packaging/install-linux.sh

Channels

  • Channel 0 = live NWS alerts. Channel 1 = tests (Test buttons / manual sends), so testing stays off the live channel.
  • Each radio can repeat an alert (default 2) so a dropped LoRa packet doesn't mean a missed warning.

Tested hardware: Heltec V3 and Seeed Tracker T1000-E.

See the README for setup.
