@BryanGross21 BryanGross21 released this 11 Dec 22:00

This build incorporates the battle element into the battle sim. To enter a battle simulation, select the Toontown Online game mode then select a playground and then street (areas that aren't built into the game cannot be selected (example buildings)). You might notice that when selecting a different area if the area is not a different instance (street,building) then the music will not restart and will continue playing. There is more diversity as all areas now have their own unique music. When you select a playground and street, you will enter a taunt screen where a cog will taunt you. Click on the textbox to continue, you will then be brought to the simulation screen where the cogs are displayed at the top and toons at the bottom. You can select a track to use from the selections in the center of the screen (right now only sound will damage the cogs). Battle to your heart's content, to exit hit the x in the top left. This will bring you back to the playground selection.

This build of the game adds interactivity by allowing players to select what area of the game they wish to simulate as well as adding the foundations of creating a party of characters to take on the different areas. At the moment, the area select allows players to select which playground/zone they wish to simulate this is done by clicking the left or right arrows on the left or right side of the screen, the image for the background and the description for the area will change noting to the player which area they currently have selected. Hitting the select button with the mouse will allow players to choose the sub area of the main area they wish to take on, the description lets the player know the spawn rates of the area if they exist or what the area will entail. Hitting the back button will allow the player to select the main zone again and hitting select will bring the player to the under construction screen as the main combat element hasn't been added yet. Thus the main goal of this build is allowing players to be able to select the area they wish to simulate as well as making a party of 4 characters. At the top right of the screen clicking on the raised fist will bring the player to the create a toon screen. This allows players to edit 4 existing characters to their liking including their species, their color, and in later updates the name of the toon and the stats of the toon. To edit a character, hit on one of the slots not selected (you know a slot is currently selected due to the green light on the right side of the currently selected box). After that, hit the right area to select the character's species, the dog is selected by default to select a species click on it the species currently selected can not be reselected, the species of the toon is show on the left. Hit the right arrow to select the color, click on any of the color options that strike your fancy the toon should reflect the color you choose for them. Hit right again to return to the slots screen, when you are done tweaking the four characters to your liking hit the left arrow to save your changes, this will also return you to the level select screen on the last zone you were in. To exit back to the game selection screen hit the x button in the top left section of the screen. This will return you to the game selection screen, you can exit the game from here by hitting the x button in the top right section of the screen. You can also exit the game at anytime by pressing the escape key. Also to add each zone has its own music so sit back and enjoy some tunes.

This game sets up the game selection framework for what will become a battle simulator based off the games of Toontown Online and Toontown: Corporate Clash. Right now there are only two screens: a game selection screen (where you select the game you want to simulate) and a under construction screen (a screen that is used for accessing things that have no implementation). Both game options currently lead to this under construction screen. You can select what game you want to simulate by hitting a or d on your keyboard this will swap the currently selected game and will even change the background, music, and description (seen on the left). To select your game of choice, hit e on your keyboard or use the mouse to click the yellow play button. Doing so will lead to the aforementioned under construction screen, this screen consists of a background, red sprite font that states "UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!!," a similar yellow button that you will click to go back to the previous screen (this maintains your selection of game so you will start back on the screen you exited on), and several cube primitives stacked on top of each other spelling out COG. These crates can be "rotated" using the camera they are attributed to which is a circular camera, using a or d on the keyboard will rotate the camera either clockwise or counter-clockwise. Turning the camera around reveals more crates that spell out INC which can only be read fully by rotating the camera. To exit the game, you can at any point hit the escape key on your keyboard to exit the game or do alt+f4 on your keyboard.
