This is the 4th alpha testing release (0.4) of The Lunduke Computer Operating System (LCOS).

Beta release planned for 0.5 or 0.6 releases, depending on test results.

Noteworthy Changes in 0.4:

  • Sound returns (temporarily was removed as part of a cleanup, trimming effort) and audio settings panel added.
  • Power manager and status added.
  • Numerous fixes and visual tweaks to Lunduke Paint & LCOS Updater.
  • Additional support for AppImage files (now shows thumbnails in file browser).
  • New Boot splash animation and wallpaper.
  • Locking in package set in preparation for Beta release.

Known Issues:

  • The installer is not yet final, as such artwork and text may change.
  • Some users report partitioning issues within the installer.
  • Upgrading between point versions (0.3 to 0.4, etc.) should be fully functional, but is still being fully tested prior to Beta release.
  • Lunduke Paint is has known bugs, particularly relating to selection and layer compositing.

Warning: LCOS 0.4 is an Alpha release and is primarily for testing purposes.
