VoiceCleaner 1.1.1
VoiceCleaner 1.1.1 by Steamburger Studios
What's new in 1.1.1
- A warmer, smoother default sound. The automatic voice EQ no longer thins the low end
of every recording or brightens the upper mids by itself; it only corrects what is
clearly off. A new De-esser (Dynamics, 50% by default) softens harsh "s", "sh" and
"t" sounds only where they stick out. Measured against clean speech, the excess in the
2-6 kHz range dropped from +1.7 dB to +0.3 dB, with unchanged intelligibility. - Take editor in Compile (
E, ✂ Edit Take…, or right-click a take): drag across a
pop, click, stumble or a pause the trimming missed, then Cut it out (X/Delete)
or Silence it in place (S). Zoom in to a few milliseconds (Ctrl+wheel,Z),
hear the selection or the edited result, undo. Edits are saved with the session, kept
when a teleprompter take is enhanced, and never change the original file. - Re-enhance takes in Compile (↻ Re-enhance, or right-click; one take or many): from
the original recording, with the current settings or any preset, in the background. The
version it replaces is kept (Revert to Previous Version), and take edits stay in place.
Open in Enhance Tab fine-tunes a take with A/B and live preview; Update Take in
Compile then puts the result back. - Teleprompter, always at hand: a TELEPROMPTER button in the header (it shows when
the prompter is open, and REC while it records) and next to Record on the Original
track. - Sessions: a new session starts clean, on the Enhance tab: the previous session's
recording and Compile takes are closed. If the open recording was enhanced but not
exported, VoiceCleaner offers to export it first. The start screen lists the session's
newest recordings under THIS SESSION.
Speech cleanup and enhancement for WAV recordings: noise and room reduction, neural voice
re-synthesis, EQ and tonal balancing, dynamic leveling, loudness, recording (microphone and
desktop audio), sessions and playback. Works offline.

| NVIDIA graphics card (faster) | VoiceCleaner-GPU-1.1.1-web.exe: small installer that downloads the rest |

- Voice re-synthesis model: the 490 MB model is downloaded once, from NVIDIA's
official repository, the first time you use Voice Re-synthesis. Everything else works
offline. - Standard vs GPU: both editions install to the same place, and installing one
replaces the other. - GPU portable ZIP: open the
.001file with 7-Zip. Or join
the parts in a command prompt with `copy /b VoiceCleaner-GPU-1.1.1-win64-portable.zip.001- VoiceCleaner-GPU-1.1.1-win64-portable.zip.002 VoiceCleaner-GPU.zip`, then unzip.
- GPU installer without the web installer: download the
VoiceCleaner-GPU-1.1.1-win64.msi
and everyvcgpu*.cabfile into one folder, then run the.msi. - Unsigned builds: Windows SmartScreen may warn on first run. Choose More info →
Run anyway. Verify downloads withSHA256SUMS.txt.
Requirements: Windows 10/11 64-bit, 8 GB RAM. GPU edition: NVIDIA driver 570 or newer.
macOS (arm64)

Requires macOS 12 or newer. Noise reduction runs on the CPU and Voice Re-synthesis on the
Apple GPU (Apple Silicon). The 490 MB voice re-synthesis model downloads the first time that
feature is used; everything else works offline.
First launch: this build is not notarized by Apple, so macOS blocks it the first time.
- Open VoiceCleaner from Applications. When macOS says it cannot verify it, click Done.
- Open System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway
next to the VoiceCleaner message, then confirm with your password.
You only need to do this once. (On macOS 14 and earlier you can also right-click
VoiceCleaner and choose Open; macOS 15 Sequoia removed that shortcut.)
Desktop audio: System audio (all apps) records what the Mac plays (macOS 14.2 or newer;
macOS asks once for System Audio Recording permission). On older macOS, install a loopback
driver such as BlackHole; it is then listed under Desktop audio. Microphone recording works
on every version; macOS asks for permission the first time.
Files: preferences in ~/Library/Application Support/VoiceCleaner, logs in
~/Library/Logs/VoiceCleaner, sessions in ~/Documents/VoiceCleaner Sessions.
