Buge App Manager Wiki
Welcome to the official Wiki for Buge App Manager!
Buge App Manager is a powerful Android utility application designed for advanced app and permission management. By integrating with Shizuku, it allows you to gain granular control over your device's apps and permissions without requiring root access. Its interface follows the Material Design 3 Expressive guidelines, offering you a modern and intuitive experience.
This Wiki aims to help you fully understand and utilize Buge App Manager. Whether you are a first-time user or looking to explore advanced features, you will find the guides you need here.
Before you begin, please ensure your device meets the following minimum requirements:
- Android Version: Android 8.0 (API 26) or higher.
- Shizuku: The Shizuku service must be installed and authorized on your device. Shizuku is the core bridge that enables this tool's advanced management features.
- You can download the latest APK package from the project's Releases page and install it.
- The project also plans to be available on app stores like F-Droid. Please check the project homepage for the latest updates.
- Ensure the Shizuku service is running on your device.
- Open Buge App Manager. The app will automatically detect the Shizuku status.
- Follow the in-app prompts to authorize Buge App Manager to use the Shizuku service. This step is necessary for all advanced features to work.
The functionality of Buge App Manager is divided into several key modules:
You can comprehensively manage all applications on your device here, including both user-installed and system apps.
- Browse & Search: View all installed apps in a list or grid layout, and use the quick search function.
- Basic Operations: Perform actions such as uninstall, enable/disable, and force stop on any app.
- Restore System Apps: If you have accidentally uninstalled certain system apps, you can attempt to restore them from here.
- View App Details: Tap on any app to view detailed information, such as its package name, version, installation time, and storage usage.
This is one of the core features of Buge App Manager, offering more powerful and flexible permission management than the system's default settings.
- View by Category: All sensitive permissions (e.g., Microphone, Camera, Location, Notifications, Phone, Contacts, Storage) are clearly grouped by category for a quick overview.
- Filter & Sort: You can filter permissions by their granted or denied status, allowing you to quickly identify which apps hold specific permissions.
- Batch Operations: This is a major highlight of the tool! You can select multiple apps at once to batch grant or revoke a specific permission. For example, you can disable the microphone permission for all apps with a single action, significantly improving management efficiency.
- Security Insights: Through the clear visualization of granted permissions, you can quickly identify apps that might be overreaching, helping you optimize your device's security posture.
This feature is intended for more advanced users and developers.
- Browse Activities: View all activity components within an app (including unexported components that are not publicly available).
- Direct Launch: You can directly launch a specific activity page of an app. This is often used for debugging or quickly accessing deep-link interfaces.
Use Case: You have just installed a batch of new apps and want to quickly prevent all of them from accessing the "Location" permission.
- Open Buge App Manager and navigate to the "Permission Manager" tab.
- In the list of permission categories, tap on the "Location" category.
- The screen will display all apps that have requested location permission. You can see the current permission status (Allowed/Denied) for each app.
- Tap the "Filter" or "Multi-select" button (the exact UI may vary by version) and check all the apps you want to modify permissions for.
- Tap the "Deny" or "Revoke" button at the bottom and confirm the action.
- The location permission for all selected apps will be revoked in one go!
