attempt to fix arm builds

This commit attempts to bypass the squashfs and appimagetoolruntime issues by just extracting it ourselves and running the AppRun executable manually, which is what we *used* to do -- before I tried to clean it up with the latest version of appimagetool (with a newer mksquashfs).
