Validation and Testing

WriteOff was tested throughout development to verify that its navigation, forms, product views, shopping cart, and responsive layouts function correctly.
The following functionality was manually tested:
- Navigation between application views
- Product pagination
- Product Detail navigation
- Product color and option selection
- Product quantity selection
- Prevention of quantities above available stock
- Adding products to the cart
- Combining identical cart selections
- Increasing and decreasing cart quantities
- Preventing cart quantities from exceeding stock
- Removing cart items
- Cart subtotal calculations
- Cart quantity display
- Account form validation
- Create Account form validation
- Responsive navigation
- Responsive layouts
The Create Account form performs client-side validation.
Required fields include:
- Login
- Password
Additional validation includes:
- Minimum password length
- Valid email format
- Two-letter state abbreviation when provided
- Five-digit ZIP code when provided
- Phone number format when provided
Invalid input displays validation messages to the user without submitting the form.
The application was tested using Google Chrome at both desktop and mobile-sized browser dimensions.
