• Add a Design evidence panel with confirmed facts, assumptions, reference images, composition decisions, and separate technical and composition review histories.
• Archive screenshot captures with IDs, viewport dimensions, source revisions, and immutable image paths. Mark reviews outdated after the frame or its design context changes, including linked reference images.
• Add framio evidence to read and validate the design record. Writes require the revision from an earlier read to protect newer edits.
• Add framio references to discover curated Tailark, Axis, and Notio references, then capture their rendered previews into the moodboard with borrowing notes.
• Fix framio add to preserve customized source by default, retain registry page source for adaptation, and verify installed files. Report incomplete and partial installs instead of treating a zero exit as success. Reject destinations outside the design project.
• Keep clipping diagnostics tied to the offending element and its measurements. Distinguish intentional ellipsis, line clamps, and scrolling from accidental clipping.
• Shorten the default agent guidance. Ground copy in confirmed facts, review the actual hero before expanding a page, and limit repeated aesthetic revisions.

Project update required: Binary installation does not refresh existing project skills. New projects receive the updated guidance and initial evidence file through framio init. For an existing project, copy .agents/skills/framio/ and .claude/skills/framio/ from a temporary project initialized with v0.0.9. Review and merge any local skill changes first. Keep the existing .framio/ directory, themes, dependencies, and designs. The first evidence write can create the missing record with framio evidence --write <file> --expect new.

Run Framio on a VM and open its local, network, or Tailscale URL from your main computer. Headless startup keeps the canvas usable without a desktop browser, and the canvas and CLI can now share downloads, installation, and update recovery.

Changes

• Listen on all IPv4 interfaces by default and print local, network, and available Tailscale URLs. Use --host 127.0.0.1 for local-only access.
• Skip automatic browser launch in SSH, CI, and headless Linux sessions. If Chromium is unavailable, show feature errors while keeping live previews usable.
• Support clipboard actions over remote HTTP and allow update actions from advertised server origins while rejecting foreign browser origins.
• Preserve the listen address, port, and project identity through server restart and recovery.
• Add shared update downloads, checksum verification, installation, rollback, and recovery to the canvas and CLI. Binary updates do not change project skills, dependencies, themes, or designs.
• Show setup progress, subprocess diagnostics, and retry instructions in the CLI.

Anyone who can reach the canvas port can edit it. Use a trusted network, firewall rules, and Tailscale access rules. Tailscale encrypts traffic through its tunnel. HTTPS requires a separate setup, such as Tailscale Serve.
