Hybrid Compact-on-Minimize

What’s new

  • Compact-on-minimize now adapts the layout when the window count requires it.
  • If the layout should change (e.g., 7 → 6 windows), SmartGrid performs a full retile to apply the correct layout.
  • Otherwise, it keeps the lightweight compaction behavior to avoid unnecessary movement.

Why it matters

You get the best of both worlds: stable layouts with minimal movement, and correct layout changes when they’re truly needed.
