UX Highlights
1. Workspace-Aware Multi-Monitor Flow
Multi-monitor behavior is now explicit instead of implicit.
Inter-monitor drag & drop is handled as a core workflow: when a window is dropped on another monitor, it is re-tiled in the target monitor context.
The Layout Manager now exposes clear context: current monitor/workspace/layout, plus where windows/apps are detected across monitors/workspaces.
Hybrid states (windows spread across monitors/workspaces) are visible in UI feedback, reducing hidden-state confusion.
Target actions are clearly scoped with Target Monitor + Target Workspace + Target Layout , so users can predict exactly where changes apply.
2. Layout Manager Clarity & Precision
Controls were renamed and standardized for faster comprehension.
Preview behavior now follows target selection, so visual feedback matches intended destination.
Slot assignment dropdown sizing was improved to better fit real content lengths.
Dialog sizing and spacing were tightened to reduce wasted space and improve readability.
Action placement around the preview was refined for a cleaner, more premium layout.
3. Why Ctrl+Alt+M Was Removed
Ctrl+Alt+M (“move workspace to next monitor”) became redundant with the newer manager workflow.
In mixed monitor/workspace setups, it could create ambiguous outcomes and unexpected merges.
The explicit manager flow is safer: users choose destination monitor/workspace/layout directly and can anticipate the result.
Removing this shortcut reduces accidental disruptive moves and keeps multi-monitor behavior consistent with the new UX model.
You can’t perform that action at this time.
