✨ New Features
- Direct megazip download: Users can now download all of a study's files at once as a single megazip bundle, organized by file type, instead of downloading each file individually. Known limitation: for very large studies, the bundle is assembled in memory before the download begins, so users may see a delay before the download starts. An optimization is planned for a future iteration.
- Participant Details page: End users can now open a dedicated Participant Details page for any participant, which includes the participant's survival status.
- Study Files: Studies now surface their associated Study Files, viewable on the Study Details page and through a new Study Files tab on the Explore dashboard. Download buttons are available on the Cancer Moonshot Biobank (CMB) Study Details page.
- Publications: The Study Details page now lists a study's associated Publications, connecting the data to the research it supports.
- Study facet in faceted search: Users can filter results by Study directly from the faceted search panel, including faceted filtering of the Study Files listing.
- Cross-linked identifiers: Study accession and participant ID values are now clickable throughout the application, linking users straight to the corresponding detail pages.
🔒 Security
This release remediates five dependency/runtime vulnerabilities across the stack: four Critical and one High.
- Critical (Backend): Upgraded Apache Tomcat and Spring Framework dependencies to remediate critical vulnerabilities.
- Critical (File Service): Upgraded the OpenSSL base image, fast-xml-parser, tar, and form-data dependencies.
- Critical (Interoperation): Upgraded the Node.js runtime, OpenSSL base image, and shared npm dependencies.
- Critical (Authentication): Upgraded the Node.js runtime, node-forge, path-to-regexp, and OpenSSL.
- High (Frontend): Upgraded the Alpine Linux base image to remediate outstanding OpenSSL CVEs.
🛠️ Improvements
- Histogram resilience: The study histogram now renders correctly for studies that have no biospecimens.
- Intuitive download capabilities: Download controls are now disabled when a study has no clinical metadata, preventing invalid actions.
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Study Details: Resolved the outstanding items from the 2025 Q3 Final Design QA of the Study Details page.
- Safari navigation: Fixed a navigation bar rendering issue in the Safari browser.
- Participant breadcrumb: Corrected an incorrect breadcrumb on the Participant Detail page.

- Access column: Corrected the icon and tooltip for the access column on the Study Files tab.
- Survival status casing: Participant survival status now displays with consistent text casing.
- Button labels: Corrected the button labels on the Study Files tab of the Explore page.

- CRDC Nodes links: Corrected the "Additional CRDC Nodes" links for study AHEP0731 on the Studies page.
