EitHost 2.0.25
EitHost 2.0.25 — Windows x64
This release fixes the vertical order in pseudo-3D replay. With the Z axis pointing upward, the upper layer (EIT-02) now appears above the lower layer (EIT-01). Each layer's title, 2D image, and 208-channel voltage curve move together. Device identities and existing experimental data are preserved.
Same-version GUI localization correction (2026-09-22)
The version remains 2.0.25. Updated downloads fix English/Chinese calendar display, including month and weekday names, year/decade selection, navigation buttons, and the empty-date prompt. Switching language while the calendar is open preserves the selected date and its filter binding. Calendar behavior was verified under both Chinese and English system cultures.
All application XAML files, six default GUI pages, 42 combo-box popups, nested menus, and composed status text were covered by localization checks. The full Windows regression suite passed 1,533 tests, with one existing external-data fixture test skipped.
These replacement assets were built from localization fix b16d3bb, with the exact source commit and hashes recorded in VERSION.json. The release version and tag name are unchanged.
Other updates
- Simplified operator status and replay messages, with detailed diagnostics available in the system log. Improved auxiliary plot labels and line readability.
- Fixed offline continuity checks for dual-layer time-division acquisition, offline weight validation for older recordings, and HDF5 writes in deeply nested directories. Existing complete offline results can be reused directly.
- Added a separate readiness wait for the WSL imaging service and clearer startup error messages.
Downloads and installation
Self-contained Windows x64 build. No separate .NET Runtime installation is required. The ZIP and 7z archives contain the same files. Extract the entire folder, then run EitHost.App.exe.
The USB2070 driver and a compatible PyEIDORS backend must already be configured on the receiving computer. The archives contain no experimental data, device pairing records, or personal configuration.
To upgrade an existing installation, close the application and use the included scripts/update-eithost-install.ps1 to update it while preserving Data.
Validation
- Windows regression suite: 1,533 passed; one existing test skipped because its external recorded-data fixture was unavailable.
- Actual WPF rendering checked with both populated images and missing-image states.
- Packaged and installed HDF5 smoke tests passed. All 8,342 experimental data files were preserved.
- Both archives were extracted and every packaged file verified. Their contents match the local installation byte for byte.
See the attached verification.json for validation details. The attached SHA256SUMS.txt verifies the downloadable archives; each archive also includes checksums for its individual files.

- A .NET 10-supported Windows x64 release: a supported Windows 11, or a supported
Windows 10 Enterprise/LTSC. - USB2070 acquisition hardware and a DDS serial device for live acquisition.
- Real-time reconstruction requires a compatible PyEIDORS backend installed in WSL2.
That backend is a separate project and is not part of this release.
What is new in 2.0.19
- The database page's experiment list follows the selected language. That list is
grouped by acquisition group, and a grouped list hands each group its own container
generator, so its group headers and rows were never registered for translation. The
switch itself looked right, but the rows reverted to Chinese as soon as anything
regenerated them — a refresh, a new experiment, or scrolling a row back into view —
which is the state the page sits in during normal use. Records acquired in either
language now read in whichever language the interface is set to. The stored data is
unchanged; only how it is presented. - The translation bookkeeping no longer grows without bound. Containers discarded by
a list refresh kept their registration, and each registration held its owner alive
permanently, so the table grew with every refresh while the number of rows on screen
stayed the same.
What was new in 2.0.18
- Dual-set time-division pseudo-3D acquisition and replay. Two electrode layers are
driven from one generator on a 10 kHz three-frame schedule. Complete records keep the
raw waveform, the finite-scan boundary and positioning parameters, the sampling time and
round, and the linked two-layer HDF5, so the offline path recomputes with the same
algorithm across shards. The display-only pseudo-3D view is built by quality-aware
anisotropic universal kriging across the two measured layers and reports a relative
variance beside the values. It uses only the two independent 2D parameter fields: no
cross-layer voltage is synthesised, and this is not a true 3D CEM inversion. It keeps
the inter-layer time difference of the time-division schedule. - UI language is resolved at startup and remembered. First run follows the Windows
display language: Chinese starts the workstation in Chinese, every other display
language starts it in English. The menu selection is then stored per user and reused on
the next start. - Native dialogs follow the selected language. Startup failure reports, archive and
delete confirmations, and the folder and file pickers are localized; previously they
stayed Chinese in English mode. - The install updater can repair a missing executable, which also covers an executable
removed by antivirus quarantine. Every other integrity check is unchanged.
Not included
- The USB2070 kernel-driver package.
- Any experiment data, device pairing record or personal configuration. The application
creates its ownDatafolder next to the executable on first run.
