Why are the headers with Caps lock?

Also why create a new file called README.mkd???

And if you are creating a new Readme file why not delete the old one?

Why is this in a .mkd file? The readme is supposed to be README.md.

Why are the headers in caps lock? Why not use GH markdown to achieve the proper header markup?
