Add Yourself to the Lab Website

Everything happens on the GitHub website. It takes about 5 minutes. 🙂

You need: a GitHub account, and a square photo of yourself.

Step 1: Create your profile

1. Open this link: 👉 Create my profile
2. In the file name box at the top, type your name in lowercase with dashes, ending in .md. Example: nancy-arya.md
3. Copy the template below into the big box and fill in your details:

• Delete any links you don't have.
• Keep the "quotes", the --- lines and the spacing exactly as they are.
• Remember the photo name you put in image. You'll use it in Step 2.

4. Click the green Commit changes... button.
5. Choose "Create a new branch" and name it add-people-yourname, then click Propose changes.

6. On the next page, click Create pull request.
7. On the right side, click Reviewers and add bobbyphtr and taiwaness.

Step 2: Upload your photo

1. Rename your photo to match the image line from Step 1, e.g. yourname.jpg.
2. Open this link, after changing yourname in the address to your branch name from Step 1: https://github.com/CMJM-Lab/cmjm-lab.github.io/upload/add-people-yourname/static/img/people

3. Drag your photo into the page.
4. Make sure "Commit directly to the add-people-yourname branch" is selected, then click Commit changes.

Your photo is added to the same pull request automatically.

✅ Done! Please contact the reviewer for follow up, and your profile appears on the website after they approve it.
