If you still need to use this 5.0 Harvester and are currently using the 2020 executable for Windows (or Mac), you may need this update to be able to connect to some vendors like IngentaConnect who have started to give "SSL" error messages.
Sadly, I cannot provide you with a new easy executable, so you will need to reinstall the entire program as an actual python program and run it from a command line. I have also provided a new requirements_2026.txt file to use to update the python packages.

Make sure you backup your entire all_data folder tree somewhere safe.
After you complete the update_2026 steps except for actually running the program, you can copy that entire tree into the new location so your vendors file, search database, and everything else is just copied over and ready to work with the new installation.

If you are a librarian not very comfortable with doing things on a command line, please get help from your IT dept or someone else who is knowledgeable about working with commands in the "black" command window.
